Hi there and thank you for using Boop by Petco to address your concern! If feeding smaller portions and more frequent meals has not helped, this could potentially be a hairball problem. I would recommend a product such as Laxatone and give this 3-5 days of treatment to see if there is a difference. Sometimes, stress or anxiety can lead to hiccups, so using a product such as Feliway (which you can find online or at your local pet store) can sometimes help and put an end to the hiccups. If the hiccups are still there after trying these methods or they become more distressing for Jicky, I would recommend taking her in to be seen by a veterinarian for an examination so that the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made. Thanks for using Boop by Petco. I am not very concerned about hiccups in general. Even though she may swallow some air, it is not likely to be enough- and to last long enough, to cause problems. Of course, if you see any signs that concern you, (vomiting or dry heaving, lethargy, etc) head straight back to your emergency vet. Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! Hiccups are spasms of the diaphragm and can occur from excitement, eating or drinking too fast (swallows air), stress or fatigue. If Axie is eating and drinking and NOT retching or vomiting I would think he should be fine. Also be sure he can rest comfortably and his belly isn't swollen. If he won't eat or is vomiting or retching you should contact the owners and take him to a Vet. If all else is fine maybe check in on him an lunch. Good luck!

What a sweet face!! Unfortunately there’s not really much you can do, but the good news is that hiccups are harmless. You can try using a raised food and bowl, but this may not help much. Sorry I don’t have a solution, but the good news is that hiccups aren’t a health problem. Thanks for asking Boop by Petco!

I would try and exercise him and get him to go for a long walk or run / chase after a toy for a bit to see if this helps the hiccups go away. Offer water and maybe add a small amount of chicken broth to the water to entice him. Hopefully this helps!
