My kitty was born on June 6. I adopted her in Sept. She had whatever shots she needed at that time and was chipped. She's nearly 7 months old and in good health, growing well, eating well, very playful. Does she need to see a vet for anything? Thanks
Hi, Vaccination as an adult cat who is not strictly indoors is annually so if she had her shots in Sep she is covered till Sep 2019 . Deworming is recommended every 3 months so she may be due that by now from her vet. And anti flea treatment is also recommended routinely, the frequency of application depends on the product used. Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! Yes dewormers can be purchased online. I’d deworm every 6 months if the cats go outside. See the link below on the kind I like. I recommend the FVRCP vaccine as well as the rabies. If Kitty never received this vaccine then he needs two 3-4 weeks apart. The 2nd is good for 1 year the all subsequent are good for 3 years. Sully is adorable! Thanks for including a picture. I wish I could give you a simple answer to your question, but every animal is different and some require a combination of products. I would say that about 50% of the animals I try it with have a good response to Rescue Remedy, so that is often my first choice for cats (especially since it can just be added to the water). I have not used the other products, but both appear to have ingredients that could be used alone or in combination with Rescue Remedy. Don't forget that natural supplements are much more variable than medications and will not sedate, so they are sometimes not enough for a very anxious cat. I also recommend combining supplements with a Feliway Diffuser ( https://www.feliway.com ) or a Comfort Zone Diffuser ( https://www.comfortzone.com/ ) in your house. In January our cat was diagnosed with crystals in his urine. He was put on Hills Urinary Control food. For a short time I was able to get Royal Canin Treats for him. Then the vets said they couldn't approve them until he was seen in their office.
Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! So your Vet will prescribe the prescription food but not the treats? I would ask to speak to your Vet directly. Sadly anything that is prescription requires a valid Veterinary-Client-Patient-Relationship (VCPR). A VCPR requires a yearly exam which is what the law/veterinary boards require from the Vet. Any refill on prescriptions need yearly exams. With that being said you may be able to find the treats online as it is hard to enforce prescription diets, let alone treats. For what it is worth it is in the best interest of Oscar to have yearly exams and be up to date on his vaccines. I wish you the best!
