Enalapril is the generic form of this medication and it is the same as the enalapril used in humans. Lasinopril is a similar drug, is in the same class, and has a similar mode of action. Ofterntimes it is doctor preference which one is prescribed but occasionally there are reasons to choose one over the other. Enalapril is more commonly used in veterinary medicine. So yes, you could potentially switch to lasinopril but I would definitely speak with the prescribing veterinarian first to make sure there are no specific reasons to avoid it. I hope this helps. Thanks for using Boop by Petco. Best of luck.

Spaying her & trying to avoid any immunosuppressant medications like steroids will probably keep Hetty clinically normal for the rest of her life. Thanks for using Boop by Petco.
