Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! If you are referring to chlorpheneramine in 4mg tablets she should be fine. I wouldn’t give her anymore until tomorrow. If this is not the drug or size of the pill please repost. Have a great day.

Benadryl (diphenhydramine), Zirtek (cetirizine) and Chlor Trimeton (chlorpheneramine) are all available in the UK. Discuss other options, both OTC and prescription, with your veterinarian. Read labels carefully and avoid any antihistamine with paracetamol.

As long as the discharge from the nose is clear, then yes, you can try an antihistamine. Priton (chlorpheneramine) is not the best. You are better off using loratadine - 10mg by mouth once a day (should be one tablet). ( https://www.amazon.co.uk/Haylief-Loratadine-Hayfever-Allergy-Tablets/dp/6041257966 ) If the discharge is discolored (green or yellow) or he is acting ill in any other way (not eating, coughing, lethargic, vomiting, etc) then he should see a vet. Hope this helps. Best wishes.

Some OTC antihistamines (diphenhydramine, loratidine, chlorpheniramine, etc.) may provide relief. Prescription drugs, such as Atopica or Apoquel, may be more effective. These last two would need to be dispensed by your veterinarian. Never medicate your pet without the advice of your vet.
