You cannot give the cat that medication. Most vets office can trim nails with out doing anything and may have a carrier for you. Depending on your area, there may be a mobile vet or groomer than can come to you to do this for you. I would start with contacting a vet's office or local groomer and they can assist you or provide you with someone in town that can if needed.

I am sure they would have no issue with trimming Shaq's nails if he will cooperate since it is the same process as it is for dogs, but this may vary by location. I would recommend that you call your specific store to ask this question.

She looks to be a domestic short hair cat which is not really a specific purebred but very common. Declawing can be very traumatic to cats and so I would not suggest having it done if it can at all be avoided. Something like soft paws that you can put over the nails is a good alternative. Any Petsmart or Petco groomer should be able to cut Brooklyn's nails. You can also go to your vet's office and they can actually show you how to trim her nails. I would just call prior to make sure they have time today, since they may not take walk in nail trims. Thank you for using Boop by Petco!

I would keep Marvel in a large crate or a small room by herself to rest up. She will need a litter box filled with shredded newspaper during this healing time. She should be kept alone to restrict movement. Your vet will give detailed discharge instructions. Have the person checking on her follow these instructions.
