Hello. The cats & kittens offered at Petco are actually managed by individual rescue groups. Prices will differ from rescue to rescue. All cats can do well if they are played with & fussed over once you get home. Can they get into trouble & sometimes make a mess? Absolutely. If you do not want hair & dander & kitty litter tracked all over the house, you should not have a pet. Cats may need to have their claws trimmed ( NOT REMOVED ) & plenty of opportunities to exercise their claws, otherwise they will scratch your furniture, moldings & walls. You will need different types of scratching surfaces, plenty of toys, a water & food dish, litter box ( or 2 ), & lots of patience. All cats are individuals, so when you go looking to adopt a cat, take your family & give yourself plenty of time to spend with your potential pet, & ask lots of questions about them. Good luck & thanks for using Boop by Petco.

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Harold. Based on your description of his wound, he likely has an abscess which is an infection due to the bite. I recommend that he sees his veterinarian to determine if this is the case and for the best treatment options. Some cats can require surgery with these types of wounds. While he will likely need antibiotics, he may also need pain medication and a cleansing solution. You should need a prescription from your veterinarian to purchase this medication online. You may be able to find it without the prescription, but I would not trust the source. I hope this information helps!

If it's not bleeding I would recommend getting an e-collar in order to put it around his neck, that will prevent him from licking it. take him tomorrow to the vet in order to get it checked as he might need a course of antibiotics to prevent an infection.

Cats that are declawed still like a scratching post so yes, I think you should get her one. The cat shelf is a really awesome idea! Cats love those! Try enticing her with toys and treats. Catnip may also work. A pheromone product such as Feliway Spray or plug in diffuser may decrease any anxiety or stress. Consider an exam with your veterinarian to diagnose illness or injury if the behavior persists.
