Hello, my name is Dr. Shines and this is concerning. Yes, I recommend to get Cali to the veterinarian ASAP. Cats can stop birthing and then finish up to 24 hours later if they are disrupted by something. But it's rare and that doesn't seem to be the case in Cali's situation. So I think it's best to err on the side of caution and get Cali into the veterinarian's office right away. She may need help having the kittens or she may need a C-section. Here' is a link about normal birthing (called queening) in cats: https://vcahospitals.com/know-your-pet/breeding-and-queening-cats I hope everything turns out well for Cali! Please feel free to reach out with any additional questions.

There are no over the counter medications to help with labour and delivery and it is possible that the most appropriate option is a caesarean section to ensure complete and speedy delivery of any remaining kittens

Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! Poor Rose! Cats can delay labor for up to 24 hours. I am worried though that one kitten was already dead. Can you feel if the ones inside are still moving? If she doesn't deliver another kitten with in 24 hours she should see a vet and be evaluated for a possible C-section. I hope this helps and I wish Rose the very best!

Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! Is Coco in labor? If she has greenish discharge there is placental separation. If there is no kitten born with in 2 hours Coco needs to see a Veterinarian and decide if she needs a C-section to deliver the kittens. I hope this helps and I wish you and Coco the best!

It is more rare for a cat to have a difficult time delivering kittens, however there is a possibility a kitten can become stuck. The whole litter is usually born within 6 hours with kittens every 30 to 60 minutes. If the cat is stressed or distracted she is able to stop her labor and restart the next day. However, if the female has been having strong contractions for greater than 60 minutes, she needs assistance in passing the kitten. Bring her and any kittens delivered to the vet’s office right away. Thanks for using Boop by Petco!
