Thanks for using Boop by Petco! Breathing issues can be a sign of many conditions such as pneumonia, bronchitis, heart disease, asthma, among many other possibilities. This could certainly be due to asthma which is not treated with antibiotics but rather it is treated with steroids and other medications. Since he has not improved, I recommend that you have Oscar reevaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Likely diagnostics to be performed include thoracic radiographs and bloodwork. Treatment would be dependent on findings. Good luck and have a good night!

Hello. Chewy does offer pharmaceutical drugs, but you will need a prescription from your veterinarian to order anything. You will need to see your vet anyway because there are no medications made specifically for rodents & the doses have to be very carefully calculated & often the medications compounded to make a safe dose for such a small pet. Thanks for using Boop by Petco.

No, there are no herbal medications that can help with this condition. i don't know what medication your vet prescribed but asthma can be well controlled with prednisolone alone. this treatment will cost you less than 10$ a month (!!), i'm sure you can afford that.

I think the diagnosis is probably feline asthma. I don't know if it is available in your country but we do inhaled steroids/bronchodilators using a special cat mask called Aerokat. Seems to work better than the systemic treatment. The antibiotic treatment is probably not necessary (kesium). ( https://www.bluecross.org.uk/pet-advice/caring-cat-asthma ) ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-yyIsWjvt2I ) Maybe see if there is a way your vet can get you an AeroKat inhaler.

Hello. It sounds like Bean has an ear infection so the Baytril Otic would be used for that. Famciclovir is an anti viral medication generally used to treat feline herpes virus, a very common upper respiratory infection in cats. The Erythromycin Ophthalmic is an antibiotic for the eyes, so the vet is being very through in treating your kitties. Hopefully, everyone will be feeling better soon. Thanks for using Boop by Petco.
