Poor pup. Unfortunately you will either have to crate Balto at night to prevent him from getting to the food bowl or stop using the automatic feeder that refills when empty and switch to one that just lets out at select times of day. Most automatic feeders can be set to twice daily feedings and this will reduce the chance of Balto eating the other pets food greatly. I hope that you are able to keep Balto from getting overweight here moving forward. Best wishes and take care!

Yes, this is perfectly normal - it's fine for Baluu to sleep wherever he is comfortable. Many cats and kittens like to sleep in small, enclosed spaces because it makes them feel safe. He may also like to sleep on the floor sometimes, which is perfectly fine :) It sounds like right now, he feels the most comfortable in your room - this is also fine. If you're ready to start introducing him to the rest of the house, I would recommend simply leaving the door to your room open so that he can venture out when he wants to. He should always be able to run back into your room at any time if he gets anxious or scared. Over the next few weeks, he should start to explore more and more as he gets more confident - don't rush this process, as it will only scare him more if you try to force him.

Thanks for the question. There are some dogs and cats that are picky eaters like Baluu. When you bring home a new food if Baluu is willing to eat it, this is likely what is going on. You can approach this two different ways. One is to stick to one food and see if after a couple days Baluu gets hungry enough to eat it. The other is to simply buy small bags of food, and switch to a new food every few weeks. My own dog is quite picky, and after months of trying, I gave up and now we just rotate through different foods. He is happy, and I am no longer frustrated trying to get him to eat. I do recommend that when you switch foods you mix the old food and the new food together for a few days to avoid stomach upset. I hope this helps.

There is nothing that you can do to slow down the process but you can get a glucosamine supplement to help lubricate Balim's joints to make her move better. One such supplement is Cosequin for cats. I would also talk to your veterinarian about an anti-inflammatory to help with any pain she is having. Thank you for using Boop by Petco.

Great question! Yes, BalanceIT is an excellent website and I highly recommend it. It has recipes formulated by veterinary nutritionists, so you know the food made will be balanced nutritionally for Belle. Pet Diets is also another good website, and I will put the link below for it. I hope this helps! https://www.petdiets.com
