Thanks for using Boop by Petco! Amoxicillin is a twice a day antibiotic; without knowing the concentration of the liquid, I cannot comment on the dosage, however. If you are concerned, I would check in with her veterinarian in the morning. I hope she recovers well!

I would not advise giving your pet human doses of amoxicillin. Mainly because this kind of pulse therapy can actually create resistant bacteria on your pets skin and create an even bigger problem. Also you aren't treating the fungal infection at all, so the itchiness and irritation will still be there. There are also stronger antibiotics for skin out there that can help reduce the chance of creating resistant bugs and also are more effective. My dog has a lot of ear problems infection and allergies. I bought 250 amoxicillin today in Mexico because its what my vet in Alabama gives her but i can't remember how much to give her. I'm also giving her zymox otic ear drops.
Unfortunately, by law it is illegal for the experts at Boop by Petco to give the dose information for any drug without seeing the animal in person first. That's because doing so requires a veterinary client patient relationship which cannot be achieved via an internet forum. In addition, the experts cannot say for certain if a specific drug is safe for your dog. You need to ask her vet for the correct dose.

Can I give my 10 week old kitten human amoxicillin for uri
No, I do not recommend giving your kitten human amoxicillin. The reason for this is two-fold. If you have liquid amoxicillin, it needs to be used within 10 days of being opened. Any leftover should be discarded or returned to your pharmacy for disposal. The second reason is a 3 lb kitten would use an extremely small dose compared to a human. My cat was prescribed 50 mg amoxicillin but the pharmacy gave me 250 mg capsules. how do I safely dose this?
You cannot if they are capsules. It is best to return to the pharmacy and get the correct dosage. If they don't have the correct size in capsules then they can give you a liquid that can be dosed properly.
