Try Zesty Paws Calming Bites, Composure chews (VetriScience) or Zylkene (Vetoquinol). Be aware that not all products will work for all dogs. The trick is to find the one that works the best. If Maggy's anxiety is severe, she may need prescription medication. Discuss options with your veterinarian.

I can't find any information that this product would be harmful to a diabetic. The main ingredient is tryptophan, an amino acid that has ben purported to have calming effects. It has been used to treat mild anxiety disorders in dogs, however I wouldn't expect it to be especially effective to calm a dog that is acutely stressed by fireworks.

There should be no harmful interactions at all between tryptophan and chamomile, and the prescription medications that your dog is currently taking - so you could certainly try this if you like. I do recommend letting your vet know that you are giving the supplement, just so that he/she is in the loop about everything your dog is taking :)

A pheromone collar, such as the Adaptil collar, may help decrease anxiety. Gradual desensitization is also strongly recommended. Calming chews, such as Composure chews (by VetriScience) may help but they are not "magic pills". You will need to modify her behavior. This may require the assistance of a certified trainer.

Hi there. You could try a daily natural calming supplement such as Zylkene or Composure, if you want to. An Adaptil pheromone collar can also be helpful for mild anxiety issues. If these things don't help, you may want to consider seeing a veterinary behaviorist to discuss a more comprehensive treatment plan for her anxiety issues, which may include prescription medication if needed.
