After a few days, the bowl separated and had sharp edges where it separated so it’s not safe for my bird. He could get cut.

Bought the 20 oz cup 10-29-21 and the cup side has split--the stainless steel is too thin. I have bought other cups like this years ago and they are still in use--the stainless steel is much thicker on the older model cups.

No, I do not recommend this product.

On line order and store pick up

Normally service is great whether food is pulled and waiting or not - employees just get food ASAP. This time the 33 lb food was not picked yet and was told to come back later. Very frustrating when I could have just grabbed a bag off shelf rather than spend time and money returning. Not normal for Petco but I was frustrated as it was costly to have to come back 45 mins later.

Yes, I recommend this product.

I use this bowl for my green cheeked conure. It's less messy than having a bowl on the bottom of the cage. She likes to tip bowls over.

Yes, I recommend this product.

I noticed that some of the paint from the ring chipped onto my fingers. Does anyone know if this paint is toxic or not?

  1. Hi Mai26, This product has been tested for toxicity and has passing test results. As mentioned on the product warning, the product should be inspected regularly and replaced if any part becomes damaged. Thanks,

So my ferrets like flipping their water bowl and I thought this would be a good replacement what size would you recommend?

  1. I used this dish for food only briefly and my 2 ferrets figured out how to lift it out of the holder. I am having the best luck with the “ You and me Lock Crock”. The 10.98 oz works well for us with daily cleaning and water changing.  It is the only dish they haven’t been able to pull off the cage.

What size would be best for budgies?  I believe the small says for budgies, but the medium size has a picture of a budgie on it.

  1. I would probably go with the medium size. Says it is for the birds 3 inches tall and it would not be too big; pictures are just selling points. I read the reviews and most people got them for budgies. Hope this helps.

Does the cup lock in place so the bird can't pull it out of the ring?

  1. The bowl just sits in ring. If you have a busy bird they can pull out.

Would the small size be good for finches? I am trying to deter my finches from pooping in their water. The current water bowl is big enough to be a garden tub for them. They also tend to use as a bath as well

  1. Yes, the small size is perfect for finches! I have a finch and a budgie who live together and they use the medium bowls, but Abby (my finch) tends to bathe in it. I also have the large and small sizes, and Abby doesn't bathe in the small-sized bowls as it's about the size of her! I like to put the large bowl in their cage so they can both use it as a bath. (TIP: If you want to pretty much eliminate the possibility of your finches pooping in these bowls, make sure you put the bowls at the top of the cage with no perches over it!)

Will this bowl fit in the Prevue Play Top Cage? The cage has built in bowl holders I want to know if they fit before purchasing them!

  1. What size bird do you have? Conure you'll need large .and would probably fit

Would this dish possibly be good for my future Chinchilla? It was recommended to me by a reliable source.

  1. This would be good for your Chinchilla. I used it for all my birds as feed/water bowls and the larger for bathing bowls. They are very easy to keep clean and prevent bacteria build up you would get with plastic bowls.

Would this stainless steel bowl work in a dog crate? It's a crate for a toy sized dog and I need a small bowl to attach to it

  1. Yes, the large size would perform well in your dog's crate! If you have a large dog, it may be a little too small depending on how much you feed your dog. But I have one of the large-sized bowls and it would perform perfectly with the 1.5 cups of food I give my dog.

Will these work on a cage where the bars run vertically?

  1. Yes! In fact, these bowls work best when they are attached to bars that run vertically (up & down). Depending on your cage's bar spacing, these bowls can also be placed on horizontal bars. If the spacing it too large, the ring the bowl hangs on will fall. Hope this helps!

What is the dimensions, (diameter) of this dish?

  1. The dish diameter, based on the rolled top edge, is 3".  The bottom diameter of the dish is about 2.5", which means this dish slightly flares outward as it goes up. The metal ring that holds the dish has an inner diameter of approx. 2 and 15/16".  It is almost 3 inches, but not.  Trying to find extra dishes that safely fit in this has been difficult.
