I saw it’s wasn’t hold well, easily get bent when I brought it for 49.99 at the goodwill, but I fixed it by plastic ties at various spots to hold the cage together… however for the price and bigger cage for my conure. Im happy.

Not very good hard to change the week that’s strong not easy to assemble. I don’t like it for my Parrot not it’s too cheap for the price. I paid $140. It’s not worth the money.

Falls apart

Second review. One person mentioned how easy it is to clean the cage — merely snap it off its bottom. I tried that, and the cage almost fell apart. I had to try to use needle-nose pliers to tighten up all the little hooks that are supposed to hold the cage together. Unfortunately, I am not quite strong enough to do this. The cage is misaligned because these clips don’t work. I gave it two stars because my bird seems happy in it. Her Mama is not happy!

No, I do not recommend this product.

Can’t get the bottom grill out easily

Grammymem

While my bird is very happy with this cage, I can’t believe how hard it is to remove the bottom grate for cleaning. I thought it would go through the door, but no. The only way to do it is, after removal of the tray, to wiggle it around and slide it out. Whoever engineered this deserves a slap on the wrist, at least.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Great for beginner budgie family

We're new to budgies, but the parakeet cage just felt too small for our new little friend. We choose to scale up to this parrot cage which gave us much more space to create a nice habitat with plenty of room for our little Budgie. It feels pretty sturdy. It's easy to clean. My only criticism is there aren't latching mechanisms on every door--which makes me nervous that my loving little 4 yr old might free her little friend when mom and dad aren't looking. (I've solved this issue with paperclips.)

Yes, I recommend this product.

Does anyone know where I could purchase replacement food dishes? My bird chewed the plastic and the little green ones you just hook on she keeps knocking down.

  1. Hi Bardaroni, Good day! There are replacements for the plastic food containers under the SKU 2431066. There are other feeders that mount to the side of the cage such as the You & Me Stainless Steel Coop Cup with Clamp, that works for all types of birds. Thanks

Are there any horizontal bars so the birds can climb?

  1. Just two horizontal bars near the base of the cage and at the halfway point I supply my cockatiel with a ladder to help her out

I need a replacement tray for this age as mine did not include it----any suggestions?

Hey was wondering if I can use this for two budgies for the rest of their lifes cause their still young and yet they both need a bigger cage than the one they have so please if you all dont cage to let me know thanks and God bless.

    1. Hi Budgies 2, This cage would be too small for 2 budgies. A habitat approximately 18" W x 18" D x 18" H, with metal bars spaced no greater than 1/2" apart, is the minimum size of habitat for one budgies. To provide adequate space for 2 budgies you would want to double that size. https://www.petco.com/content/petco/PetcoStore/en_US/pet-services/resource-center/caresheets/parakeet.html Thanks,

How do you remove the grate?

    1. You need to remove the wire cage off the base, or at least one side of it so you can pull the grate out.

    How large are the doors?

    1. Hi Dancewoody, There are 2 doors : The big door size : W10.6" x H12.8" (W 27cm x H 32.5cm) The small door size : W4.9" x H6.7" (W 12.5cm x H 17cm) Thanks,

What metal are the bars made of under the coating?

    1. Hi Stirling, The material is iron metal (cold rolled coil steel). Thanks,

Is there a bird bath attachment or suggestion for this cage? The Sir is not ready to come out to bathe and I would like him to be able to keep clean, feel better.

    1. HI imouse1, We do not have a bird bath attachment large enough for a parrot, but this bird bath spray (SKU 2941533) is a good alternative. petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/gimborn-feather-glo-bird-bath-spray-for-birds Thanks,

Would this cage be big enough for a parrot? if not what would be a better one?
