Make sure clips are included in box!!
I've used this product for years and truthfully love it! The reason i gave a 3 star was due to the clips were missing from one of the boxes. I contacted customer services with Petco for the clips to be sent out to me. Simple right?! Not so much!. After an extremely long conversation with customer support and for some reason they couldn't just understand, no clips with one of the boxes please send out clips, it became, send pics of clips(which I had to go out in a storm to take,) may have to send everything back, which by the way, I've already placed all the decking into place before seeing no clips included in the box, to have to speak to the manufacturer with no time line. So technically the product I have no issues with but clips missing and then not knowing when or even if i will get clips is extremely disappointing!

OK but not great
I got 4 of this deck for my dog's 8x4 kennel. The plastic material is of good quality and appears to be strong enough to last for a long time. Unfortunately, the deck did not fit in a standard 8x4 and while the description says you can cut it for smaller areas, the placing of the rubber footing piece will not allow you to cut in order to fit the kennel. Also, the clips are so hard to get in that I broke a few of the clips while trying to put them in. Fortunately, they give you a few extras. I would recommend this product if you have building a kennel and can customize the size to fit this deck. I would not recommend this product for those who have a built in kennel because cutting this in smaller size is not ideal.

Kennel deck review
Disappointed when I received just one piece of decking. When I purchased these a few years ago I received 2 pieces of decking for $49. The picture above and on site shows 2 pieces connected together. I was expecting 2 pieces for the $53. The decking works pretty well. Have had trouble with young dogs/puppies turning it over and chewing or removing the rubber feet. The plastic will fade over time.

Great inside xxl crates
This works great in my great dane crates so when my giant breed dogs spill water they aren't laying in it. Or if they have an accident.

Disappointed
Cheap and flimsy. I would have sent it back, but I threw the box away. My husband went and bought Trex decking and some 2x4s and build a beautiful, sturdy, large pet deck.

Is the product toxic if chewed ?
Would there be a problem if ants build nests beneath them? I'm thinking of using these outdoors in a 10x10 kennel on top of crushed stone using the rubber feet on top of patio blocks for air circulation. I'm also concerned about mice beneath.
- The plastic cuts easily to any size. You could make it so that two pieces fit through the door and then are joined with the included clips.

I want to buy The Kennel Deck to put in a doghouse. I need 40” x 32.” Yours is 47.5 x 23.5.” Can I cut 7” off the 47.5 width and add it to the 23.5 length to get the size I need?
- The Kennel Deck panels ARE NOT made to cut and fit into something like a dog house. They are made of thick polyurethane plastic, and like a deck, you place furniture, etc. on top of the panels. The Kennel Deck panels provide protection from the ground. I have these deck panels covering the concrete ground area of a 10'W x 10'L x 6'H kennel and then a doghouse on top of the panels inside the kennel. There was a small space that the panels did not cover. I thought a about cutting a piece to fill that space, but I purchased 24" X 24" concrete patio panels to fill that in. If I am not outside with my dogs, I place either a pad lock on the door of the kennel. Plus, I purchased a kennel roof for shade and protection from the rain from Tractor Supply Store. I have had these kennel panels since April 2004, and they are still in great condition. Very easy to clean.

- Probably two or three. You might have to cut and piece.

Does is get hot in the sun?
- Fortunately, due to the light color of these deck panels, they do not get hot in direct sunlight, just warm. It is best if you can have them in a shade. I have a roof on my 10'W x 10'L x 6"H kennel.
