Is this meant as just supplemental feeding or is this suitable as a main diet in place of kibble/canned food? How long would the 18oz bag last a 13-lb semi-active older cat having two meals per day?
- It would depend on the size bag you bought but it would be good to give as a main meal. The kibble is in large pieces so you may have to break them up when you feed

Is it low in carbs?
Fostering a 10 week old kitten, preparing to adopt her. She's been raised on wet food by Purina. MY adult cat has been eating Stella and Chewy for 2 years - the canned, raw morsels, and coated. Can the kitty eat this?
- I always give my foster kitties this - gradually. They love it and thrive. I feel guilty because i don't know if their adopters will continue. You just give it.. Start slow as with any food.

Is this hard or soft dry food? My cat has a difficult time with crunchy dry foods.
- You hydrate it as per instructions. If you do well in advance, it totally softens. I also sometimes crumble it up. This food is amazing because it is shelf stable, unlike frozen raw.. In dry form it can be used as a treat or topper. For a meal, you should hydrate.
