Place potty pad quilted side up in an open area, and away from your pet's food and bedding. Even though pads have an attractant that lets dogs know to "pee here," it's still a good idea to show your dog exactly where the pad is and that it's their personal potty. Giving your pet praise and the occasional treat after using the pad can help positively reinforce this good behavior. Once your dog is trained to use the pad inside, you can encourage him to use it outside. Start by moving the pad closer to the door, and eventually outside and into a desired area. Pets are less likely to use pads once they're completely soiled, so frequently replacing with clean pads is important. When disposing, lift the corners first to help keep the mess contained.
FOR PET USE ONLY. Intended for housetraining pets. Keep out of reach of children.

Questions
Are these made of natural fiber? When my dog tears them apart the fibers become almost a powder consistency and are impossible to avoid breathing in.
- Hi Joshi, Good day! Are these made of natural fiber? When my dog tears them apart the fibers become almost a powder consistency and are impossible to avoid breathing in. Thanks

Are these pads safe if chewed? Is there anything in it that is toxic?
- Hi Tiggermom0819, Do not allow pets to chew on these products. Any damaged or used products should be removed. They may be harmful if ingested as any foreign material would be. Addtionally, these have been tested for toxicity and are free of heavy metals and phthalates. Thanks,

I have a senior Labrador with separation anxiety, who likes to eliminate when I'm out. We're working on the anxiety. Outside my Labrador like to sniff and either pee or mark. How will your product (attractant) be helpful?
- An easy way to help your lab figure out pee pads would be to take a paper towel outside with you the next time your lab pees outside. Dab the paper towel in the pee spot then dab the paper towel on the pee pad so your dog will smell their own pee on the pad. Also I would put the pee pad where your dog tends to already pee inside. As your dog gets the idea that they are supposed to pee on the pad, you can slowly move the pee pad to where you would prefer he use it inside. I hope this helps! If your lab is a male, you may want to buy a toy orange cone to put in the middle of the pee pad to give him something to mark on.

How do these compare to Drs Foster and Smith x-large pads?
- No where near as good. Much smaller in size than Drs. Foster and Smith. Holds maybe 1/10th of the amount of liquid. This was my first and last purchase from Petco.

what is the exact size of the x-large pads
- The actual usable area is 24 inches by 30 inches. If your pet hits the blue border area, that is 2 & 1/2 inches wide and runs around the whole pad, by mistake you will have a wet floor. Not good for training young puppies that have never used pads before.

How many cups of liquid do these hold?
- No where near the advertised 5 cups. I have to replace the pad after 1 use by my 6lb Miniature Bichon.

I notice they have the 100 count now, are those X-Large like the 50 count?
- If you order the 100 count, you get two packages of 50 pads. The actual usable, abysorbent area us 24 inches by 30 inches. A nonabsorbant border that is 2.5 inches wide surrounds the "usable area".
