I bought two packages of these recently. I will never buy this brand again. A complete waste of money, and very frustrating clean up. My dog completely tears them up in seconds. She is paralyzed from the waste down. So I have to clean her mess up constantly with homemade cleaner, and paper towels. So even more money being spent. I have never had so many issues with potty pads. She has been paralyzed since she was 5 and a half weeks old (due to her mom falling backwards on her while trying to exit the welping area. So I have definitely been using potty pads for years now. As she will be 5 in February. I do not suggest wasting any time, energy or money on these. I don't like to ever leave a negative review, but in this case I feel it is necessary. I would rather give warning to anyone else wanting to purchase these. Especially if they have a paralyzed pup, or one that has strong front paws and claws.

I've been using these for about 6 months for a foster fail Chiweenie with trauma from a hoarding case who was only trained to use pads (we are working on outside pottying with the help of my 3 other dogs. I noticed the bottoms are extremely fragile and can easily be torn just pulling them out of the package, making them unusable if torn bc wheb the dog pees on them it will leak through the tear. They must have received complaints bc now PetCo has a "improved performance" version that comes in a heavy duty cardboard box vs. Plastic packaging. Here's the problem: they thinned out the cotton pad itself so that it isn't as absorbent while they did make the blue plastic bottom more durable. It's like they tried to keep the price low and the only way they could make the bottom less fragile was to reduce the absorbency and this defeats the purpose too! We need it to be absorbent AND leakproof. I'd rather pay a few dollars more for this so probably will be switching brands. I think it's a waste to have these come in a box that now I have to drag to the dumpster every couple of weeks, couldn't they have kept the plastic wrap instead of paying for a pretty box that gets thrown out and used that money to make the actual performance better? Also the new ones are stuck together and you have to take extra time carefully peeling them apart. These are not better. I actually bought the old ones yesterday at the back of the rack and I'll just be careful not to tear them. Frustrated and disappointed. The worst puppy pads ever and very dangerous. It says leak proof, IT IS NOT!!!! I have to put the pads in front of the toilet because that's where this crazy dog goes. Well, going into the bathroom in the middle of the night, I step onto the pad and because it is NOT leakproof, I slid into the wall and sprang my ankle. When I pick these up to throw away, the floor is soaking wet with her pee.

Tthe pads are thicker than what Ive been getting from other brands.
