I have had my dogs on Simpatico Trio for several years now and they had never had any side affects from it. I do make sure to give it to them when they eat so hopefully chances will be reduced. I have yet found fleas or ticks or heartworms or any signs of intestinal issues. I order through Petco Pharmacy and use the auto refill (6 months) so I do not run out of it. I have recommended this product to several friends and they are happy with it also. I just received a refill (by mail) last week and I believe another refill will be here soon. I will recommend this to anyone wanting to make sure their pup is protected from those bugs and intestinal worms.
