I am struggling with potty training my two newest pups. Theyāre almost 3 months now and I feel like I havenāt gotten anywhere with it. I work a varied schedule of 6am - 3pm and 1pm - 10pm so itās hard to get the pups on a schedule. I live in an area of very unpredictable weather so I donāt want to leave them outside. I work 4 hours before getting a lunch so having them in a crate that long would feel unfair. Iām not sure if puppy pads will work because they literally shred anything they touch.
Iām getting very frustrated. I taught him how to use puppy pads, then I taught him to go to the door to tell me when he needs to potty, ever since he started lifting his leg, he just goes where he pleases & I correct him several times a day but still does it. He potties outside very nicely. I tried turfs, sprays & more but he will wants the puppy pads& I took those away long ago. I even trained my female and she uses the brilliant pad. He looks me straight in the face too. Heās too old for this.
My puppy is about 4 months old. I'm still working on potty training her but it seems like its taking forever for her den instinct to come in...she will go outside to potty and usually.won't go in the house unless I'm preoccupied with my children and not paying attention but still goes in her crate...what can I do to stop this or help develop her den instinct?
I have a 4 month old female chihuahua and she eats her own poo. She is not house trained as of yet as itās very hard with her. She will come up to my bed and pee on it. My couches and Bedding reeks of pee and I need help to stop it, sometimes she will lick her own pee when she pees on my bed.
My new puppy is almost 11 weeks old. We picked her up when she was 7 weeks old. I understand that puppies need to get used to going potty outside and have accidents at times. Baylee goes outside and doesn't pee very much the first time and then tries a couple more times where 2-3 dribbles come out. She is almost finished with a medication from the vet for urinary infection (we couldn't get her to go so they are treating as if it is positive). Any additional advice?
My mother bought a box of the safe-guard canine dewormer that comes in 3 2-gram pouches. Our puppies are chihuahua/pom mixes, one 7 weeks old, the other turns 6 weeks on Friday. But the dosage says 10 pounds/1 pouch. Both puppies are barely a pound, so how much would we give them per dose?
My Pomeranian/Chihuahua mix has had to stay in her pet taxi/ kennel for up to 13 hours a night. Due to night shift-job. She hasn't had any accidents in the kennel. However after I'm home for a little while she starts having accidents in the house. She's a year and a half old and weighs 7lbs. Is it unhealthy for her to hold her urine and stool that long ?
My 3 month old pup seems to have separation anxiety. My boyfriend and I both work during the day, one of us coming home at lunch to walk her. During the time we are not at the house we put her in a kennel. She barks constantly and has accidents in her kennel. I wanted to get her a gated off play-pen that i could leave her in while we are at work. I figured it is more room to let her roam around a bit and I can put her favorite bed/ toys for comfort. Is this a bad or good idea for a young puppy?
Is there any medication like tri heart plus thats around the same price point i need to get my dogs their medication and not even my vet is being helpful since they only want to sell me the Heartgard even tho i've told them i can not afford that medication at the time they do not wanna give me the generic and i need it asap since they are being potty trained outdoors.
My 8 week old puppy seems to be peeing excessively. Sheās going 3-4 times in an hour since this afternoon. Is it possible that she has a UTI or is this normal puppy behavior? Weāve been taking her outside every time she wakes up and after she eats. Also make sure to take her out if she shows signs of needing to go, but even with that sheās still peeing in the house a lot.
My dog keeps throwing up yellow fosm; three times now
In how many days eating potty and biting habits of my gsd puppy will finish ??..
