These chews are safe and approved for puppies as young as 8 weeks old, weighing 4 pounds or more. Dogs need parasite protection year-round. NexGard PLUS chewables kill adult eas fast, before they can lay eggs, for a full month. NexGard PLUS chewables are approved to kill a total of ve species of ticks, including the prevention of Lyme infections in dogs as a direct result of killing black-legged ticks. Heartworm disease is a serious condition that can cause permanent damage just one bite from an infected mosquito could put your pet at risk for this potentially deadly disease. Ask your veterinarian for more information, all dogs should be tested for heartworms prior to starting a heartworm disease preventive.

DIRECTIONS

NexGard PLUS chews can be administered with or without food. Care should be taken to ensure that the dog consumes the complete dose, and that part of the dose is not lost or refused. If a dose is missed, administer a NexGard PLUS chew and resume a monthly dosing schedule.

WARNINGS

Afoxolaner, one of the ingredients in NexGard PLUS chews, is a member of the isoxazoline class. This class has been associated with neurologic adverse reactions including tremors, ataxia, and seizures. Seizures have been reported in dogs receiving isoxazoline class drugs, even in dogs without a history of seizures. Use with caution in dogs with a history of seizures or neurologic disorders. Treatment with fewer than six monthly doses after the last exposure to mosquitoes has not been fully evaluated and may not provide complete heartworm prevention. Prior to administration of NexGard PLUS chews, dogs should be tested for existing heartworm infection. At the discretion of the veterinarian, infected dogs should be treated with an adulticide to remove adult heartworms. NexGard PLUS chews are not effective against adult D. immitis. The safe use of NexGard PLUS (afoxolaner, moxidectin, and pyrantel chewable tablets) chews in breeding, pregnant, or lactating dogs has not been evaluate.

I like that it is one chewable for heart worm, ticks and flees. The only issue I have is my dog doesn’t like the taste so it is a chore to give it to him.

For years, I gave my dogs a Heart Med and Nexgard chewables monthly. When we adopted our last rescue dog about a year ago, the rescue gave us 1 month of Nexgard Plus for her. After doing some research, I realized that I could change all of my dogs over to Nexgard Plus and my pets would have all of the same protection with only one product. Even though these products are expensive, there is some money savings with only having to purchase 1 product versus 2. AND as a Surprise Bonus, the manufacturer of NexGard Plus (Boehringer Ingelheim) offered a very generous Rebate on my purchase of NexGard Plus for my dogs. I feel very confident giving my dogs NexGard Plus fror parasite prevention. I also appreciate the manufacturer offering the generous rebate on this product. In my mind, their rebate offer tells me they are doing their best to try to make their great product affordable for as many people as is possible!

Can else my order 3 times and used vetco so the process was smooth. It was far from that extremely disappointed in petco service called customer service multiple times and even told me that I could not speak to a supervisor and did not do anything for me. Would not recommend order RX pet supplies from pet o to anyone!!!!!

Placed my order online and had to mail the prescription in because I only had a paper copy from my vet’s office. The next day, petco cancelled my order. I reached out to customer service and they said there was no reason marked as to why it was cancelled, but it just was. I asked for my prescription back but they told me they weren’t able to send it back. I had to call my vet and get a new prescription, and was able to get my dogs nexgaurd elsewhere.
