Before using, test surfaces to be treated for colorfastness by applying to a hidden area. Wait 1 hour, then wipe with a white cloth. If color is removed from the test area, do not use Nature's Miracle Skunk Odor Remover on those surfaces. Do not use on untreated hardwood, leather, suede, silk or wool specialty fabrics. Always use this product at full strength. Do not dilute. Always use Nature's Miracle Skunk Odor Remover first. Other cleaners and detergents may fail and chemically "set" stains that will be impossible to remove.

The way this product is advertised makes it seem like it’s safe to use on dogs, but it’s not. Despite being called “Skunk Odor Remover Citrus Scent for DOGS,” it’s actually only for fabrics and surfaces. I didn’t catch that at first, and at 5 AM after pulling my dogs away from a skunk, I wasn’t scrutinizing the tiny picture of the bottle while looking at my phone. I was trusting the product label PetSmart chose to display. To avoid confusion, the label should clearly say “Skunk Odor Remover Citrus Scent for Fabric” instead. That would prevent pet owners like me from buying something that isn’t safe or useful for their pets.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Had my dog hit by a skunk in the middle of the night (when it generally happens), and he was foolishly brought inside by a well-meaning party. So of course the house stank to high heavens for hours, to the point it was making me ill. I headed to Petco the second they opened, and got this. I regularly use Natures Miracle urine destroyer spray with great results on pee accidents, so I wanted Nature's Miracle specifically. I was not disappointed. Sprayed it liberally all over the floor, walls, and doorframes he may have brushed against coming in, and within 5 minutes the smell was vastly reduced. It was gone in most areas in under 10 and a rinse with water. Another application and rinse on an area that still smelled a bit on the front doorframe, and it is fully gone. I'm keeping some of this under the sink at all times from now on, just in case. 100% recommend.

Is it safe on fabrics? My skunked dog was in the house alone for 2 hrs after being sprayed and coming in the dog door. It is everywhere!!
