Dear Experts, We are from The Hockaday School and are working to make an original dog food with only natural ingredients. We were wondering if our idea is successful and original. We would appreciate it if you looked at our recipe and could help us alter or work on it. Recipe: ⢠Pork = 40 grams ⢠Chicken = 40 grams ⢠Salmon = 40 grams ⢠Peanuts = 10 grams ⢠Sunflower seeds = 10 grams ⢠Basil = 10 grams ⢠Rosemary = 10 grams ⢠Oregano = 10 grams ⢠Sweet potatoes = 20 grams ⢠Carrots = 20 grams
I have decided to prepare Nala's food at home as opposed to store bought dog food. What would I need to add to a recipe containing following: Beef Liver 3lbs Lamb Hearts 2lbs Beef Tripe 1lb Ground Chicken 5 lbs Water - as need to incorporate beef stew bones 3lbs Brussel Sprouts .5 lb Butternut Squash 1lb Pink Himalayan Salt- 1 tbl I did cook all of this, although I know that raw is better, and then ground it all together.
Is this human food product acceptable to mix with my dog's dry food in small amounts?
Which foods are better for firming stools ? I currently feed my dog grandma lucys artisan venison which has mainly potatoes, carrots, banana, pumpkin and other fruits and veggies to go with venison. I wonder if quinoa would be better than potatoes and carrots combination, or should I try another protein. I have already tried plenty of kibble options. I am looking for advice on ingredients
We have stopped using canned dog food and now make a fresh mixture of peas, beans, carrots and sweet potatoes mixed with ground turkey, beef OR chicken. We would like to stop feeding them dry food all together. Can we do this and if so should we give them a doggie vitamin? we have a 3yr GS, 8yr GSP and 10 yr lab mix. thank you
Hey! My dog ate some food that was left out for maybe 7 hours accidentally. Stella and Chewyās āMeal Mixersā, chicken based freeze dried raw ā if you add water, it says to consume within 2 hours. Our dog seems fine but weāre a little worried. Any ideas? She is a 5 year old Havanese about, ive attaches photos. Thanks!
Hey guys, Iām slowly transitioning my dogs over to adult food but they are still getting their puppy food. Mia always has some kind of allergy so I was looking into getting BLUE BasicsĀ® Grain-Free Salmon & Potato Recipe For Adult Dogs but it doesnāt have any chicken or poultry by-product meals, corn, wheat, soy, dairy or eggs. Is that even healthy missing all of those food groups? Right now my dogs are on Blue buffalo freedom grain free.
I'm having a hard time deciding between Fromm kibble and honest kitchen dehydrated dog food. I think honest kitchen is an excellent food but it's a little pricey. Is their a better choice here? Please explain? (The honest kitchen food is not raw but cooked at 165 degrees.)
The best food for small dog 5 month, morkie 2 pounds
What is the best food to feed a 55-pound highly active hound? I was told to switch to grain free, but her stool has been mucous like and runny. I've tried Redford Naturals Limited Ingredient (I've tried chicken, beef, sweet potato) and American Journey Limited ingredient (lamb). Just looking to find the best dog food for a very active hound that won't break the bank. Also, I'm concerned with all this news of heart problems linked with specific foods.

Hello I'm Candace I have 2 Yorkies they both have pancreatitis. I usually feed them moistened diamond puppy and boiled or canned chicken. A lady at Petco suggested I mixed in some grain free fresh pet food mixture and alternate with freeze dried Stella &Chewy's meal mixture (which is moistened with warm water). She said grain free bcuz they often have diarrhea or soft/mucas poop or my male dog has trouble pooping. I did this for 2 days. They love it but have had some soft poop. Is this normal?
