I have a 5-lb. dog I call The Destroyer. I purchased this for her way back in November 2020 when she was four months old and I wasn’t sure what her toy preferences would be. She had access to it on-and-off for over a year. (I rotate her toy selection to keep things interesting.) While the seahorse wasn't a top favorite, it definitely saw some chewing action during its tenure with us. The Destroyer's top targets were the snout, tail and fins, which all saw early damage that didn't "kill" the toy. She also enjoyed being able to thrash it a bit by the fins and tail. Yesterday she finally worked her way into the belly and disemsqueaked the poor thing. As the human with the wallet, I'm impressed with the toy's sturdy construction. It held up well under difficult circumstances. While it wasn't top draw for The Destroyer, dogs who enjoy cuddling their toys will probably enjoy the soft fabric.

If your dog loves to chew, this is not the toy for them! My 8 month dalmatian puppy only had it for about 3 hours & chewed off the front fins & was able to make an opening.

I thought this seahorse was so cute and that our fur baby would really like it as it squeaks and crinkles. I ordered the small one and it is to small for our dog, so it will be a gift for a friend’s dog. I ordered a medium one and our dog loves it.
