I discovered this recently and decided to try it on my 3-1/2 mo. kittens because one of the kittens is loosing interest in wet canned food. It wasn't until I read the various descriptions on the back of the bag that I saw that Instinct Co. recommended adding warm water to the dry raw meals. I tried it this morning and what a difference! They liked it dry but texture was not perfect dry. When I added a little warm water to it they devoured it (could not get enough).

No, I do not recommend this product.

At first they were eating a mixture of grain free wet food and kibble, I was afraid at 10 weeks they wouldn’t want to switch or wouldn’t like it….they absolutely love it. I add a handful on top of some of their wet food and even though it’s large, they will bite it into smaller pieces. Will be getting more and even trying the frozen raw food this brand offers as they get older. Great to have this option, it is expensive but worth it.

She doesn't like the taste as much as I had hoped....but loves the other freeze dried 'snacks' by Instinct, so I really hoped she would love this. In their defense, she has gotten very finicky about all her food include wet food(refuses completely any wet food no matter how many brands I've tried). So not sure Instinct is the problem if you get my meaning thus the 4 rating.

Cats are obligate carnivores, thus I am very happy to find that there are finally some raw options on the market that save time from preparing homemade meals. Cats and dogs, like humans, should not be eating kibble! Let’s keep the healthy options coming!

I have been feeding my cat Instinct Original chicken formula the only food my picky eater would eat then came along Instinct raw meals freeze dried chicken formula decided to give it a try well guess what she absolutely loves it she can't get enough , I also believe that this new food is a better choice for the health of my cat , I Thank you and my cat Dolly thanks you .

I adopted a 4 month old kitten and he came to me with horrible food. I slowly switched him to Instinct and he loves it! I just wish you all had a large bag and more protein selection. Unfortunately, I might switch him to another brand once he is an adult, because the other brand has a bigger bag, more protein selection and it's almost the same price. Now if Instinct's bag gets bigger I just might stay, because I would hate to switch when my cat love this.

How many cups of food (volume wise) does this bag hold? For example, if my kitten needs 1/2 cup of this daily, how many servings will they have per bag?
