Toxic to my Cat

Mimi

My cat has been enjoying instinct raw boosters for a while. Back in November we ordered four packages around Black Friday. As soon as I opened the new packages and gave my cat some treats from them she became violently I'll throwing up multiple times in multiple locations. I have seen her vomit once or twice in her entire life. I didn't give her any more from that bag of digestive treats, but I opened a new package of the chicken and the following night gave her a few of those. Again, she vomited everywhere. I called the company and did not get a chance to speak to a customer service Rep as our schedules clashed. It's been quite a while and I decided maybe it wasn't the treats maybe she just had a flu because she had been eating them consistently. Last evening I tested her by giving her just two of the digestive treats. A short time later she had vomited in 7 or eight places in my bedroom - on carpet, on her pet furniture, everywhere the entire contents of her stomach. I immediately sent another email to the company. I spoke with the customer service Rep to Day and was astonished by her response. She told me they hadn't had any other complaints. To my astonishment she didn't ask for the food back for testing but merely kept saying they hadn't had any other complaints. If your animal gets sick from this food they don't care. When I first reported that my cat had gotten sick and I didn't connect with the customer service agent they actually sent me a coupon. I had to request a refund it was not offered. Beware. Raw food can be dangerous and this company does not take their responsibility seriously from what I can see. If this were my company I would have requested the food back for testing immediately. I most certainly would not have told the customer that there weren't any other complaints because you know there are.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Great for Senior Cats and My New Kitty Too

JJ Bryce Cat attorney

I originally bought the Instinct® Raw Boost Mixers Digestive Health for my elderly kitty, who had multiple health issues and was a very picky eater (as many senior cats can be). She loved these. They were one of the few things she consistently ate, and they really helped keep her interested in her meals. I’ve since adopted another kitty, and he’s tried these as well — he likes them too! I really appreciate that Instinct sells these in small packs so pets can sample them first, and then offers larger bags for long-term use once you know they enjoy them. For the record, he also likes the multivitamin variety with no issues. I highly recommend these. Since they’re sold in small packs, it’s easy and affordable to give them a try, and they’re a great option when thinking about your pet’s health.

My cat is picky and refused to eat it after the first time she ate some. I was hoping she would like it and it would help with her sensitive stomach.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Questions

1 - 1 of 1 Questions

How many servings are in each 5.5 oz. package?   Is water supposed to be mixed in with the freeze-dried?   Can the freeze-dried be a meal?

  1. There are 36 servings in a 5.5 oz. bag. Does not need water mixed in with product. No, it is not used as a meal. Instead, use your regular food and top it off with the product according to cat weight.
