Not worth it

Lack of instructions, and quality is no good. Once together and put in the tank, we began to transfer eggs and then all the snaps start coming undone.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Total Garbage

Absolute garbage! No assembly instructions. When you do your best to put it together fitting the slots together as one would expect to do, you risk breaking the cheap plastic and the pieces won't stay in the slots anyway. I feel very taken by purchasing this product as it is not worth one cent and probably didn't even cost that much to manufacture. Even though PetSmart's brand of breeder box doesn't have suction cups, it was way better quality.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Like it but...

Was excited to find this option because the last type I had was flimsy and wouldn't stay together. But For whatever reason the suction cup does not hold it up, it slowly slides down.. over and over, which is really frustrating. Trying to find a clip or something to go over the top edge of my tank to hold it up.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Cheap product that doesn’t work.

First of all, no assembly instructions. It came with these two tubes that I think I put in the right place, but one of them is slightly shorter than the other. So short in fact, that it doesn’t reach far enough for me to add the little plug at the end. Oh well. It seemed good enough to install, I didn’t really get its purpose anyway. I put it in the tank and the suction cup is placed so high that the top rim of this breeder net is barely able to stay above water level unless you have your tank water level really low and enjoy the sound of loud splashing water.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Poor suction keeps falling into the tank

I bought this as one of the rep suggested this to keep our baby fishes separate from the other fishes in tank and after assembling and placing in our fish tank we noticed one of the side was bent and it had enough space for the baby fishes to go out and the suction was also poor that it kept falling into fish tank. Very disappointed with its quality. It dint serve the purpose for what we got it.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Will corydora fry freshly hatched or even just eggs, slip through the mesh?

  1. No. Used this product to hatch and raise shrimp succesfully.

Does anyone know how long can I leave my female molly there before giving birth? She came home pregnant from the pet store and I don’t know far along she is, so I want to be able to separate her on time.

  1. Hi nnrreyram, Good day! Tough to say exactly how long you would need to use the isolation tank, because we don’t know how long it has been pregnant. Mollies can be pregnant for around 60 - 70 days. Thanks,

Would this be good to use for my Betta fish in a 1gallon tank?

  1. Yes it good one

If you have 6 baby molly fish that are really fast and if their mom is vary protective? My fish had babies and I found out today that she had babies so I am trying to do what I can to keep them safe!

  1. The Imagitarium Aquarium Net Breeder is perfect for raising and protecting baby Mollies, Guppies, etc. I have used mine many times always with good results. Tho I do have a question, you wrote "mom is vary protective"....who exactly is she protecting her babies from? In my experience I have only witnessed the need to protect the babies being eaten FROM ALL other adult fish in the tank "the mom" included. Never have I seen a mom molly show any maternal instincts toward their young. What you see maybe just her trying to "catch" a snack?

Is the bottom mesh or a panel? If I put corydoras eggs in the bottom will they fall through?

  1. Be careful with eggs in a mesh container. other fish may nip at them. I use an "egg bubbler" safer and takes up less space.

How do you put it together?

  1. I know this is old.. first step is to click the walls into the holes on the bottom frame(flat square with mesh bottom). Gotta make sure it clicks put pressure on it until it does. The top frame then needs to be clicked in . There are two circle holes facing on the the outside of the bottom and top frame.. The clear tubes go in the back side. Insert a blue plug into each tube. Push the clear tubs through the circle holes in the bottom frame. Next there is a plastic that has your suction cup on it. Slip that on the clear tubes. Then push the clear tubes through the circle holes on the top frame. Insert two more blue plugs into the clear tubes. The plants click in on the blue plastic pieces with 4 nubs poking out. On the inside of the net you will see on the frame a raises edge that the blue plastic pieces will slide on.
