My dog has taken Citirizine (Zyrtec) for skin itchiness in pas and face in the past for non seasonal allergies. He was about 100 pounds. Now he is 150 pounds. Does the dose stay at 20 mg? Is that still effective at 150 pounds?
Hi I've got Cetrizine hydrochloride 10mg tablets for my 9.6kg pug for seasonal allergies. I've been told to give a 10mg tablet 3 times a day but it seems that other sources say 20mg is the max amount to be given. What is correct ?!

My 7 yr old dog has separation anxiety issues. My Veterinarian recommended trying OTC Melatonin 3mg. Can someone recommend a particular brand of OTC Melatonin to purchase? I'm afraid Xylitol made be an ingredient that is not disclosed on the package. I contacted Natures Made. I was told No Xylitol in the Melatonin.
My vet just recommended Zyrtec for my 72 lb golden retriever at the dosage of three 10 mg tabs daily for 7 days. That seemed a high dosage but I read an online source that said 1 mg per kg of body weight so that checks out. Why would a 72 lb dog take three times the one 10 mg daily recommended dosage for full grown humans?
Hi my Dog weighs 60lbs how many mg of Zyrtec can he take? He has allergies
breathing is fine. My vet said to give him 4 and a half 25mg tablets of Diphenhydramine. She acknowledged that this may seem high, but they wanted to give a heads dose at first and later just give 2 and a half tablets if the hives look better. I just wanted to double check the dose. Cruz weights 68 lbs.
