First, it’s super smoky smelling, not that that’s a bad thing! I love a good, smoky lox with cream cheese and capers on a cinnamon raisin bagel. But this isn’t for me, it’s for the cats. 3 out of 5 showed interest in the bag, but they also come running when I open the bag of dishwasher pods, so that’s not the best judgement. Mudd and Spaghetti both sniffed at it, but didn’t indulge. Squirrel ate the entire pile herself. Doc insisted that cat scans aren’t always good enough, and as a certified dogtor, he also gave it a try. Two paws up. He gave the half eaten burrito he found on the side of the road the same rating. So, take from that what you want. It’s a quality product, but it’s not for my finicky feline fivesome.

I love this product and will be getting more. This is a delicately packaged premium feeling wet food topper. My cat goes nuts over it! I’m so glad something like this exists because it’s just a nice treat for her. Buy it!

I sprinkled some on top of cat’s dry food and she came running! She’s pretty picky about food and treats so I was surprised to see her eat it and then look to me for more! It has a strong smell-you could smell it through the plastic before opening it and the dog tried to take the bag. A big disappointment was that it clogs up the seal so I couldn’t close the bag.

I'm sure other people's cats will enjoy it, but my fussy girl refused to eat her meal after this was sprinkled on. I also tried a little plate of just the sprinkles first. I couldn't tell if she ate any or just pushed it around a little. I will probably feed it to the dog next and see if she likes it.

Phoebe did not enjoy this product, and I was surprised because she loves other kinds of dehydrated salmon, but I’m thinking that either the rosemary they added to this is the culprit, or she doesn’t like the smoked aspect, so your cat may love it. Also, the tiny flakes easily get stuck in the zipper-lock and make the bag difficult to close properly. It looks like a great product though because the ingredients are only salmon and rosemary and it’s full of proper nutrients. I also love the idea of sprinkling this over food- super easy to add flavor and nutrients. When I clicked on the QR code for sustainability, I was directed to a “page not found” error.

All three of my cats love these small fish flakes. I sprinkle them over their dry food as a treat. It has a strong salmon smell which our cats enjoy. They go crazy for this treat and come running when I open the bag.

My cat does not need a kibble topper as encouragement to eat (he’s a fat old man) but he does love this as a treat in the evenings. It has quite a strong smell, which I’m sure is enticing to a cat. Clean, pure ingredients offer reassurance that you’re feeding your pet something good for them.

The Finfare salmon sprinkles for cats came in a large resealable top pouch. When I opened it, I could smell the smokiness of the salmon, and reminded me of the smell of sushi grade salmon skin handrolls. The texture was like a shredded floss. The pouch itself was sturdy and very airtight when sealed, keeping in the smell. Both cats and the dog came running the minute the bag was opened. I gave each cat a small sample as a taste test. Because of the fine texture, it does fly around a little, so I used a teaspoon to scoop out a portion instead of pinching some with my finger. For a dehydrated product, it had the right amount of moisture. It was not clumpy, nor too dry and scooped out cleanly. When I got it on their plates, one cat dove right in without hesitation and gobbled it down. The other one was more tentative but once he got his nose down, he too, devoured it. I also tried it as a topping for their wet food, which they also loved. I only started with a small taste test because both of my cats have sensitive stomachs. It did not cause any GI issues, such as vomiting or diarrhea, and was well tolerated. The dog was so jealous, I had to sprinkle some on his dinner as well. He had no problems gobbling it down. I would definately recommend this product, especially to add as a topper for wet food in order to encourage hydration in cats. I really like feeding my pets wholesome foods whenever possible and the salmon sprinkles are as close to human grade as can be.
