Questions
I did not read directions and put the treatment on the hair and not directly on the skin. Can I put on a double dose and put the second dose on the skin. The first dose does not seem to be working at atll.
We adopted Goose (2 yr male cat) from HSSV. At the shelter, Goose had been treated with Frontline Gold which is due to be re-applied in Oct, 2021. There is no sign of fleas so far. We wonder if Cheristin can be used to prevent fleas on a monthly basis.
- Cheristin works GREAT. it does not kill flea eggs, but if they hatch, Cheristin will kill the live fleas. my cats stay indoors. once we get them in the house, the cats are treated for 3 months, though we usually don't see fleas after the 2nd month of treatment. fleas can reproduce every 3 wks. if you allow your cat outside, i'd keep them on Cheristin-depending where you live, of course.

Does Cheristin flea treatment for Cats contain Alcohol? I can only find the ACTIVE ingredient but not the inert ingredients. Revolution made my TNR cat FREAKOUT within 5 seconds; I'm guessing it irritated her skin.
Does this kill ticks?
- No but my cat is allergic to fleas and flea dander and fleas control. This is the only one that does not make her break out in bumps that she scratches until her hair is falling out. The vet has me putting it on her every 2 weeks but I push to 3 weeks

Which is better this or advantage I’ve never used this but I use the advantage 2 which usually works great but the last 2 times using it didn’t work so I was wondering if this is stronger ?
- i used advantage II for over a year and never had good control, and my cats are indoor. Cheristin is the only product with proven results for me and well worth the $.

My Tipsy is an in-door/out-door cat. Can this work as effectively as other reviews I read from here? Anyone here with a cat that also spends some time in the out-doors?
- My wonderful vet recommended us switching to this brand as it seems after using one brand for too long it can lose effectiveness. We’ve been using Cheristin for several years and it seems to do the trick, altho my kitty spends minimal time outside and usually doesnt brush against bushes nor has any contact with other animals.

Does Cheristan kill lice?
- I don't know - I would refer to your local veterinarian for answers to that question.

Hi, I have 3 cats with flea infestation, how many should I buy? Also what are the directions for this product?
- Directions and recommendations are in the package, but I would recommend using one vial dose per cat every four weeks. Itʻs a liquid you squeeze in its entirety on the back of the head (or somewhere your cat canʻt lick) as close to scalp as possible so itʻs absorbed into skin vs sitting on fur. Assuming these are indoor cats, for an infestation youʻll also have to vacuum, power clean and spray the entire house as we can bring indoors and track the larvae on our feet and clothes. Itʻll take up to 3 months to be rid of eggs, larvae and adult fleas.Good luck!
