I’ve read online to put and ice pack or something warm on a dogs sprained leg which one should I use?
My dog has a mast cell tumor on the back of his leg that is being treated (palliative care) with chemo therapy, prednisone and benadryl. However, after those medications, his leg is still so swollen and he seems like he is in pain/very lethargic. His groin is also quite bruised. Can I apply a cold or hot compress for the swelling? Is there anything else I can do?
What is good to give my 13 year old Collie for sore hips and joints can't walk up or down steps very cautious walking
For a while my dog has had like shoulder/neck pain is there anything he can take?
Whats the case of this dog’s shoulder
Is VetriFlex for pain does it help with hip Dysplasia
Phoebe hurt her shoulder and/or leg yesterday. Not sure from what. She stands on okay, but she does favor it when she walks. She takes Metacam already for arthritis. I'm not sure if this is arthritis now. I pressed around on her leg and it didn't bother her. It doesn't seem like a fracture if she was okay with me pressing on it. Whenever I had fractures, it hurt to press on it. Her paw looks okay too. Is there something I can do for her until the vet (on Wednesday)? Ice? Heat? Something else?
Hi! Rocco was running down the driveway today and all of a sudden started limping. It is his right front leg, and it seems like the pain is in his shoulder. When you push his shoulder inwards he cries... Outward is okay though. Is there anything I can do for the pain and swelling/inflammation? I was trying to ice it, but he doesn't like the cold. Is there anything I could give him? I don't want him to be in pain, but I don't want him to injure it more if he can't feel the pain. Ideas? Thanks!
How can I help my dog with his arthritis
My doggo has hip pain. My parents won't take him to the vet, so I've been trying other things to help him. We have been recently trying CBD oil, which hasn't done anything yet, but he's in pain currently and I was wondering if you could give me any advice. His pain is usually in the morning, it's typically worse after he exercises. He has a fat lump on his hip, but I don't think it causes him pain, cause he doesn't seem to care when I touch it.
Male, 15 year old, Chow Chow mix (possibly with German Shepherd). Dislocated hip as a puppy and attending veteranarian "popped" hip back in place. Dog now has significant hip pain causing difficulties when arising from lying down. He also has deteriorating vision. Otherwise, he is strong and healthy. He currently takes one ounce of LiquiVet Hip and Joint formula daily on his food. What can I do to alleviate his pain?
I was curious to know what you think of laser therapy and hydrotherapy for an old ccl injury with arthritis and hip dysplasia. It is very expensive, but if there's a good chance it may help I'll do it. She limps periodically and I want to improve her quality of life. What are your thoughts? Thanks in advance.
