What are neutrophil Why does Rocco have them. Why shift to left side. What does that mean
Roxie wont let me soak her paw with epsom salt, definitely not for 10 minutes. What other way works?
Rocco seems down. Does not want to eat. Vet put him on Apoquel. I thought that is for allergies only and considered dangerous. It is not a food enhancer. Please clarify
Rocco has a high level neutrophilia with left shift and monocytes. White blood cells are increased immature neutrophilia CBC slightly elevated. What tests are necessary and what do you believe is wrong
Will prednisone cause fast breathing in a 34 pound mixed breed dog? Blood work on 12/7 had platelet count at 75. Likely caused by tumor on his leg. Rocco is 9 years old
So I’m laying down and I look at my dogs at the end of my bed. Lying next to each other, both on their sides facing the same way. I notice they’re breathing so much differently. Roxie (almost 4 yo 50lb Australian Shepherd pitbull mix) is breathing about 80 breaths a minute whereas Macie (almost 3yo 43lb Mountain Cur) is breathing about 23 breaths per minute. Which is normal here? When Roxie is inhaling her chest rises and then her stomach. (Fast)
My dog Roxie has been limping since early this morning. She kept jumping off the bed repeatedly last night to scratch her ears. She can barely put any weight on it. Nothing seems to be broken or dislocated. She's eating normally and still affectionate. Is it a sprain?
It is I/D food. He did vomit. Diarrhea watery with blood. He was given IV fluids by vet. Toxic ingestion? His bloodwork was all normal. Hoping that was the reason they really took Rocco to the vet. I help support him. How long on this special diet?
Roxie was acting rather rambunctious after I dipped her paw in the epsom salt and was trying to hide away from me to lick her paw but calmed down once I rinsed it with some water. Is that typical behavior?
My white Scotty Terrier, 35 pds. Has a urine protein creatinine of 2.4. What medication would be helpful to decrease this? Roxie dog also has borderline high BP. Lisinopril or Rafampin? I am an RN and I am familiar with these medications. I will discuss this with my Vet (who always chooses the higher cost med provided from her office). I would like an opinion for another Vet. Thank you!
My 6 year old beagle has had a small "pimple like" bump under the fur on her back for a while. It hasn't caused her any pain or any hair loss. But, today she was acting like she was in pain and we found a similar "bump" by her front leg. I'm not sure what it is or how to take care of it and make sure Roxie isn't in pain.
Roxie has been licking her back paw on her left side for the last couple weeks. And it's the only one the last couple days I've noticed it is red on the inside of part of the paw and hair is thinning on that par as well. She seems like is also a bit more skiddish than normal. I don't have the money for a vet right now. There is nothing in between the pads just red and irritated. Any advice?
