You can give Interceptor Plus to your dog by hand or by adding it to a small amount of dog food. Administer the chewablein a manner that encourages your dog to chew, rather than swallow without chewing. If your dog normally swallows treatswhole, you may break the chewable into pieces and feed them to your dog. Make sure that your dog consumes thecomplete dose and observe your pet for a few minutes after the administration to ensure that no part of the dose is lost orrejected. If you suspect that any of the dose has been lost, redosing is recommended. Consult your veterinarian regardingthe need for year-round administration of Interceptor Plus. To help you remember to dose monthly, each box containsstick-on labels for your calendar.

Do not use in puppies less than 6 weeks of age or less than 2 pounds.

I need heartworm medicine for my puppy. I wanted to change to a dewormer that took care of more than 3 types like his current medication does. They require an actual physical copy of the vet’s prescription like back in the 1900’s. I mailed it in 2 weeks ago and can’t get an answer on if it was received or what a typical time frame is on said mailed in prescription. Do I wait a few more days or get another month of the other kind I don’t want? No clue, can’t get an answer. He can’t go too long without prevention and here we are.

Petco somehow got our vet to sign off on the prescription even though they said they never do that. And we got the medicine fast which was great bc we were behind schedule.
