I recommend to stick with toys meant for rodents. It's hard to know if toxicity is a potential concern but the small threads could become wrapped around his teeth. Many mice like to chew on cardboard boxes and toilet paper rolls. They also make wooden toys for rodents. The clear exercise balls and a running wheel will also be fun for Frankie. I hope this helps and please feel free to post any additional questions.

Hello. I do not know what might be available in Canada, but I highly recommend looking at this website for the Veterinary Oral Health Council. Click on the Accepted Products link at the top, then on accepted products for cats. It will list everything that is truly tested to provide results. Bunnies are notorious at chewing up objects in the house! It is a natural behaviour, which we can try to redirect by giving her other options to chew on, such as timothy hay disguised inside cardboard tubes, commercial hay tunnels, or other types of bunny-safe toys where you can hide the hay in. Basically, anything that involves searching out and chewing hay would be great because it allows them to act out on their chewing in a safe, healthy, and mentally stimulating way. Unfortunately I agree with you, the fleece blanket is not safe if she is potentially ingesting pieces and it should be removed. I hope this helps! And have fun with your bun - she is such a cutie!

Hi Jack! I would recommend a pocket pet such as a guinea pig or a hamster. They are relatively low maintenance (you will have to change their cage regularly as well as feed and give water to daily), but are fine with being alone while you are at school. They are also great pets to have, I had a hamster growing up named Alvin and he was really cool. Good luck with becoming a vet in the future!
