I think it's fine to try this food to see if Zuzia likes it. It appears to be an adult formula so it should be fine for her. Royal Canin and Purina ProPlan also tend to be pretty palatable so you may try those as well. Thank you for using Boop by Petco.

Hi there! It's certainly possible to feed Ziva a home-cooked diet if you want to, but it's almost impossible to correctly formulate this yourself without help - especially for a growing puppy. I recommend using a website called balanceit.com, which uses formulas set up by a veterinary nutritionist to help you put together a complete and balanced diet using whatever ingredients you choose.

Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! I highly recommend that Liya's diet be a commercial high quality puppy food. I like Hill's Science diet, Royal Canin, Iams or Purina Propplan. If you want to supplement occasionally with a soup then I think either is fine as long as there are no bones, onion, or garlic in the soup. Be sure it isn't fatty or it could upset her tummy or pancreas. I hope this helps and I wish you and Liya the best!

Hello. It is very common to see reproductive disease in chickens including salpingitis & egg yolk peritonitis. If you could bring her indoors where it is a bit cooler, feed her nutritious foods such as cornbread, cooked eggs, even a bit ( not much ) of canned cat food & see if she perks up. Many of these birds are actually in quite a bit of pain, so if there is any way to have her seen by a vet, this would be best. X-rays are often taken in these cases to evaluate the internal organs or see if she is actually egg bound. There is a lot we know about chickens, but sometimes not much we can do to save them. Hope you can have her evaluated soon. Thanks for using Boop by Petco.

In most animals with food allergies hydrolyzed protein sources are ok. However, if it is possible I usually recommend switching to a novel protein source instead of the hydrolyzed diet. This way you can ensure there is no reaction from the food. Additionally I would avoid other poultry proteins as well. Some animals that are allergic to chicken also have reactions to foods with duck as the primary protein.
