Poor Zora! She does sound like a very anxious girl. If you would like to try a natural calming supplement of some kind, I would suggest Zylkene or Composure - both of these are very safe, and I have seen good results with them in some patients. You could also try a DAP pheromone collar as well, to see if this helps :)

One good one to try is called Zylkene. It is a natural anti-anxiety medication for dogs that has shown to be the most effective. If this does not do the trick though, I would recommend reaching out to your vet for a prescription anti-anxiety medication. These typically are very affordable for most pet owners. Best wishes with your pet Dozer moving forward. Take care!

I’m sorry to hear about Zedan! This is not an unusual scenario because she is defending “her” territory- whereas the vet or park is neutral ground. This is usually worse in unspayed dogs than spayed dogs. So step one is to spay her. The next step is to try crating her when people are coming over. Once she seems calmed down, you can let her out (on a leash to control her). You should feed her treats throughout this ordeal. This is NOT “rewarding bad behavior”, food is actually a useful way to lower the fear threshold so that she can learn that she doesn’t need to be so anxious. Finally, these two steps may not work without a little help from some anti-anxiety medication. Dogs cannot learn when they are so anxious about people coming into their territory and possibly threatening her people. Talk to your vet about the many options available. Hope this helps, best of luck to you and Zedan!

Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! Poor Cassie! How long have you been in your new place? Even if Cassie always adjusted quickly doesn't mean she always will. There maybe something about your new duplex that is causing stress" the smell, the sounds, the size? I would try to enrich her environment: play with her, get cat trees for her to climb, get beds she can hide in, get shelves you can put at a window so she can watch the birds (get a bird feeder) and I would consider getting the Feliway diffuser to help calm her. Ultimately if time and the above do not help her settle in, you may need to discuss anti-anxiety medications with your Vet. Which I would anticipate would be temporary. I hope this helps and I wish Cassie the best! http://pet-supplies.drsfostersmith.com/search?w=feliway%20for%20cats

It sounds like Rosie is very anxious at your parents' house for some reason. Some dogs are anxious in new or unfamiliar environments in general - without meeting Rosie in person, it's hard to say if there is a specific reason that she is anxious or if she just has a hard time coping with being someplace other than her safe, familiar home. If it's an option to leave Rosie at home when you go to your parents' house, this would be a perfectly reasonable option since it doesn't sound like she enjoys being there. If this isn't possible, you can try a DAP pheromone collar along with a natural calming supplement like Zylkene or Composure before your visit to see if this helps to reduce her anxiety.
