I like the Wisdom Panel DNA test. It is a kit you can get a home and do yourself. https://www.wisdompanel.com/ They will give you an idea of breed(s) and after that you will have to do your own research on medical issues that are common in those breeds.

Hi! It should be fine to burn candles around your dogs as long as they don’t have any concurrent respiratory issues (asthma, bronchitis, etc). If the scents or smoke are irritating to you, then I’d assume they are to the dogs as well. But if the candles are clean burning and your dogs are otherwise healthy, there should not be any problem. It’s a good thing to ask though, because some pets like birds can be extremely sensitive to candles and we recommend not burning them around birds. I hope this was helpful!

I would avoid using essential oils directly on your dog as it could cause skin irritation, or be toxic, depending on the oil. If you use diffusers in your home, making sure Hudson is in a well-ventilated area away from it can help prevent inhalation that could cause irritation or illness.

I've had better results with the Embark panel and have had the few clients that I have had use it come back with good reviews. It is easy to use and has a fairly fast turnaround time. In terms of genetic testing, the genetic health screening is much more detailed than that of the Wisdom panel. The breed identification appears to be much better than the Wisdom panel as well. I would go with the Embark panel to be honest. I hope this helps guide you in the right direction! Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns and I would be more than happy to help you further.

When diffusing these oils, make sure that Chloe has the option to escape the room if she is uncomfortable. They should be safe, but we can’t guarantee that she won’t have a negative reaction to them.
