I've had better results with the Embark panel and have had the few clients that I have had use it come back with good reviews. It is easy to use and has a fairly fast turnaround time. In terms of genetic testing, the genetic health screening is much more detailed than that of the Wisdom panel. The breed identification appears to be much better than the Wisdom panel as well. I would go with the Embark panel to be honest. I hope this helps guide you in the right direction! Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns and I would be more than happy to help you further.

The commercially available DNA tests I am familiar with are Wisdom Panel by Mars, DNA My Dog based out of Toronto, Paw Print Genetics out of Spokane and Embark out of Austin, Tx. Wisdom Panel® Canine DNA Tests determine the breed ancestry of a dog by determining the genotype of the dog, at hundreds of individual sites in its DNA. The results are then compared with the genotypes of the more than 12,000 breed samples in their database. Paw Print Genetics is designed to assist breeders and has the advantage of testing for several genetic diseases. The breed-specific panels offer a comprehensive service at a discounted rate, and you can choose genetic diseases you would like to test for. Embark tests for over 150 breeds including wolf, coyote, and village dog ancestry (feral dogs) - accounting for 98% of dogs in America. Additionally, Embark scree

I like the Wisdom Panel DNA test. It is a kit you can get a home and do yourself. https://www.wisdompanel.com/ They will give you an idea of breed(s) and after that you will have to do your own research on medical issues that are common in those breeds.

Jerry looks like a Shepard mix. I would have a DNA test done to be sure. It’s fun to read about the different breeds that are in his background. I use the MARS wisdom test. You can order it online and just send in a cheek swab. Thanks for using Boop by Petco to help you care for Jerry.

If you're asking about Riley's breed, we can do our best to make a guess based on a photo - you can request a consultation with one of us if you want to upload pictures of her for us to look at. Otherwise, you can order a cheek swab DNA test kit to help determine what breed she is - www.wisdompanel.com
