Have a few toys at home but only give 1-2 at a time. Change it out every day for a different set to prevent boredom. You can try kongs or the type of toys that are puzzles and release food every time they figure it out. Instead of bones, invest into water buffalo horns or elk antlers, they are much more durable

Submit a stool sample to your veterinarian to diagnose intestinal parasites. If Tuffy is behaving normally otherwise, you can try withholding food for 24 hours. Allow small amounts of water or unflavored PediaLyte. Resume feeding a bland diet in small, frequent amounts. Begin with 1 tablespoon of food every hour and gradually increase the amount. Feed bland until the stool is normal before transitioning slowly to Tuffy's regular diet. Monitor for lethargy, vomiting, diarrhea, loss of appetite or abdominal pain. These are all symptoms that should be addressed by your veterinarian. If the bloody stool persists or worsens, Tuffy should be seen by your vet. If Tuffy is not behaving normally, skip all the above and have him physically examined by your veterinarian. An exam, lab work and abdominal x-rays may diagnose the underlying cause for the bloody stool.

Deep cuts usually require stitches. I recommend to take Tudfy into see his veterinarian today. He will likely get antibiotics as well. Make sure Tuffy does not lick the area as this may make them worse. Make him wear an elizabethan collar at all times. If you can’t get into the veterinarian today, you can wash the area gently and pay dry. You can apply sterile petroleum jelly to the wounds to keep the tissue moist. This is only a temporary solution though as stitches may be needed. Best of luck! I hope this is helpful and please feel free to post any additional questions.

You are correct that antlers and nylon bones will break teeth, but they can also cause obstructions and/or perforations in the GI tract. I recommend a Kong toy. Those are very tough chew toys that are hard to dogs to destroy. You can also fill them with treats. I'd recommend, as an occasional treat, filling it with peanut butter and freezing it overnight in the freezer. That will keep her occupied for a while.

Some dogs are chewers. It is good that he does not chew inappropriately. As long as he chews just toys, you'll likely need to keep replacing them. You can try rotating toys so that Berlin does not have an opportunity to totally destroy them. As soon as you see some wear, take it away and replace it. Use caution when giving bones as they could fracture a tooth or teeth.
