I like Missing Link Original. If your local Petco does not carry it you can order it online or ask you local store manager to order it for you. ( https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/brand/the-missing-link ) Hope this helps. Best wishes.

Hi and thanks for posting on Boop by Petco! The first thing I'd make sure Willow is eating is enough calcium. Be sure Willow is eating a kitten food until she is about 9 months to a year of age as kitten food has more calcium and other minerals in it that is required for healthy bone growth. A great supplement you may want to consider is DHA and EPA. Both are types of omega 3 fatty acid that are excellent for healthy development for multiple organ systems such as the heart, brain, skin, and bone/joint health. I have a product I'd recommend below: https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/vetri-science-laboratories-omega-3-6-9-dog-and-cat-gel-caps# I hope this helps!

It is very difficult to make a homemade diet for cats because they have such specific nutritional requirements. We don't have a supplement that will meet all the requirements, but if you do want to make a homemade diet, check out these two websites I'm putting below. They offer recipes for homemade diets for cats, and because they are formulated by veterinary nutritionists, you know that your cat's daily requirement will be met. Be sure to follow the recipes exactly so your cats do not suffer any deficiencies in their nutrition. Best of luck, I hope this helps! https://secure.balanceit.com https://www.petdiets.com

I’m sorry to hear about Link but so glad he’s feeling better! For these guys I love to do a probiotic like Purina Fortiflora. This helps reset the gut and make it more efficient. You can also add a lysine supplement ( https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/vetri-science-laboratories-vetri-lysine-plus-bite-sized-cat-chews ) to help fight and prevent feline herpes virus which can come on after an illness like this. Otherwise just stick to your good kitten or cat food and he should get back to where he needs to be within a month or so. Best wishes to you and Link!

I hope this helps guide you in the right direction. Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns.
