Yes! Check out basepaws.com for a genetic test you can buy to use with your cat. You just apply a bit of tape (supplied in the kit) to your cat's fur, submit the entire piece as a sample, and you get results in a few weeks.

I think the hardest part of the move for your cat will probably be traveling the 3 hours to the new house. Typically I would recommend sedation for a trip like this to keep the cat calm but since your cat is of an advanced age it is probably not worth the risk. Once you get to the new house have some of you cat's familiar things around, like cat beds, blankets and of course litter boxes. Try not to wash the beds etc before you move so they still have a familiar smell. If may also be beneficial to get a pheromone diffuser like Feliway for the home. These release a scent that can be calming for cats. There is also a pheromone spray you can get to use in the car to help keep her calm as well. You may want to also consider having your cat checked by your vet befor taking a trip just to make sure there are no underlying problems going on. I hope this helps. Thanks for using Boop by Petco. Best of luck with your move!

If they are friendly you could trot take some pictures of them yourself and try to put them on social media to find them a home. Also, you could look for a no kill shelter in your area so you know they wont put a time limit on their adoption. I hope this helps!

You could consider having a veterinarian come to your house to do her exam and vaccines, if there's anyone in your area who offers this service - many cats do much better with house calls than appointments in the clinic! If you're not sure, try googling "house call vet (your city/state)" or call some local clinics to ask if they know of anyone who does home visits. If this isn't possible, then I would work on teaching her to go into her carrier voluntarily. This is quite easy to do for most cats, but it does require some time and planning ahead. Start by leaving the carrier out with the door propped open. She may be anxious and hide when you first bring it out, which is fine. Just leave it out with the door open, and put some tasty cat treats nearby. She will explore and find the treats when she gets curious, which may take a few days. Once she's happy to approach the carrier and eat treats from the floor nearby, start putting some treats just inside the door. When she's c

Hello, Depending on the extent of Chinnu's injuries, it may not be possible for her to deliver kittens on her own or walk again. It can take time to fully realize the extent of spinal cord damage. I recommend having her seen by her veterinarian again to ensure she is not in distress attempting to give birth. I hope this helps. Thanks for using Boop by Petco.
