An adult crested gecko should be housed in a 20-gallon tank with screen top. Larger tanks will allow for better displays. In areas with moderate to high relative humidity, crested geckos will fare well in screen cages.

The bathing and drinking may be due to a degree of dehydration. The breathing and biting at herself may be due to stress or discomfort. Since the symptoms are vague and don't point to any one condition, a physical exam with your veterinarian or a vet experienced in treating reptiles would be recommended. In the meantime, confirm proper environmental parameters (again if necessary). Clean and sanitize the cage, bowls and any tank furniture. Discard anything that cannot be sanitized. Make sure she is eating regularly and is kept as stress free as possible until she sees the vet.

Check the temps in the enclosure. Low temps can affect activity in reptiles. Make sure she is getting adequate amounts of calcium as well. If the behavior persists or worsens, have her physically examined by your vet or a vet experienced in treating reptiles to diagnose and treat any illness or injury.

Check the temperature in his enclosure. Low temps can affect appetite in reptiles. Offer prey about 2 hours after the heat lamp turns on in the morning. Make sure he is well hydrated by soaking or misting him regularly. It may be a preference. If he is eating the Repashy CGD regularly, don't worry too much about him eating crickets or not.

Leopard Geckos are phenomenal reptile pets and are generally very easy to care for. The most important factor in caring for any reptile is making sure their home is appropriate for their specific needs. Leopard Geckos like hot environments with low humidity. A basking lamp should be on one side of the tank and an under the tank heater is also recommended. Their diets are comprised of insects, so they should be fed gut-loaded crickets, mealworms, and superworms. Their habitats should be cleaned weekly and fresh water can be offered daily. They should not be misted. Otherwise, they are very hardy creatures and a lot of fun to take care of. I'd be happy to answer any specific questions. If you wish, feel free to start a consultation.
