Hello. The cats & kittens offered at Petco are actually managed by individual rescue groups. Prices will differ from rescue to rescue. All cats can do well if they are played with & fussed over once you get home. Can they get into trouble & sometimes make a mess? Absolutely. If you do not want hair & dander & kitty litter tracked all over the house, you should not have a pet. Cats may need to have their claws trimmed ( NOT REMOVED ) & plenty of opportunities to exercise their claws, otherwise they will scratch your furniture, moldings & walls. You will need different types of scratching surfaces, plenty of toys, a water & food dish, litter box ( or 2 ), & lots of patience. All cats are individuals, so when you go looking to adopt a cat, take your family & give yourself plenty of time to spend with your potential pet, & ask lots of questions about them. I haven't used Beaphar products before, but just looking at their ingredients, I would probably recommend using their treats for the actual drive because it has 3 different ingredients that may help with stress. If you think that needs to be combined with a longer lasting product, it looks like the collar has both Valerian and lavender, while the spot on only has Valerian. But if your cat is not used to wearing a collar, then she may not tolerate the collar well. I would contact the company to discuss the specifics of your move and ask them for a recommendation. As far as other products to consider to help stranger cats get along, I have a couple suggestions (although the Beaphar products may be very helpful). The goal is to decrease stress between the cats. One option for decreasing stress is to add a Feliway Diffuser ( https://www.feliway.com ) to your house. This is a calming pheromone that will work for a month. The safest flea shampoo for a cat is actually Dawn dish soap or baby shampoo. It is very mild and gentle and does well for killing fleas. After a bath you can try frontline or advantage topical if old enough as those do no require prescriptions
