Hi and thanks for posting on Boop by Petco! Sorry to hear about the poop incident- this can happen sometimes. She likely was yowling because she didn't like the feeling of the wipe on her paws or rear. Some cats simply do not like their paws or rear end touched. You can consider bathing her or taking her to a cat groomer if she doesn't like the wipes much. You can also try a no rinse pet shampoo too. I hope this helps!

Try a pheromone product such as Feliway spray or plug in diffuser. Either may decrease any anxiety or stress in the home. You can also try placing his food and water bowls on the spot. Clean the soiled area thoroughly first using an enzymatic cleaner such as Nature's Miracle. Add an extra litterbox in the house and try different brands and depths of kitty litter in addition to the litterbox attractants.

Many cats prefer to toilet in quiet undisturbed areas, such as the bathroom or under tables/furniture and I would recommend placing a few trays in such areas until you figure out a happy middle ground for both of you! Crating until he returns to using a tray can be helpful if this does not work and pheromone products can help if there is any underlying anxiety or fear. Scolding will not work with cats!

Kitties can be so naughty post surgery. Although it is not advised to do a full body bath, you can use a waterless shampoo and kitten wipes from your local pet store to get him clean. As long as the inicision site itself stays dry you are ok. Best of luck keeping kitty clean! : ) Take care.

What naughty kittens! I think you can do a few things. First, I would work on environmental enrichment. Kittens have a lot of energy and "should" hunt multiple times a day for their food, so we need to find ways to help them entertain themselves (without resorting to playing with poo). This website has a number of good ideas for environmental enrichment. https://indoorpet.osu.edu/cats One of my favorite things for cats is a no bowl feeding system like Doc & Phoebe ( https://docandphoebe.com/ ) that requires them to "hunt" for their food. You could also try a feeding ball. https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/petsafe-slimcat-cat-food-dispenser-in-blue I also recommend using laser pointers and interactive cat toys like a Cat Dancer ( http://www.catdancer.com/ ) to help get their energy out constructively. Finally, you could consider adding anther automatic litter box, so they don't have the opportunity to fish anything out of the litter box. Good luck! I hope that wa
