You cannot give the cat that medication. Most vets office can trim nails with out doing anything and may have a carrier for you. Depending on your area, there may be a mobile vet or groomer than can come to you to do this for you. I would start with contacting a vet's office or local groomer and they can assist you or provide you with someone in town that can if needed.

Over the counter Hartz and Sentry products do not work. I suggest you get prescription strength flea medications. You can easily get these medications from one of our VETCO clinics inside Petco stores. It is first come, first serve and there is no exam fee so just the cost of the products. The vet there can advise you when you can give the new product based on when you applied the other product. Poor Cezare! It's no fun to be recovering from surgery, but it sounds like you're doing a great job protecting him. One thought is that if he's only inside because of the neighbor's kibble, you could ask them to bring the kibble in for the remainder of his recovery period. If he's inside for the other reasons as well (such as still needing regular medication or rest), walks outside on a harness or just hanging outside with him on a long lead and the harness can give him an outlet. I'm not sure if you'd want to spend a bunch of money for just the next few days, but if he likes to hunt birds outside, there are bird feeders that can be attached to the outside of your windows to attract birds and then have a one way glass so Cezare could see out at them. Rather than using the grooming option for fleas, do the following: Unfortunately fleas only hop on the body of your pet when they want to feed, then they hop off again and stay in your pet's environment. So you need to treat all pets in the household as well as the environment (which contains the fleas, their eggs and larvae). Flea treatment: 1) Get some flea medication such as a Flea spray or a spot on from a pet shop or your veterinarian and apply monthly 2) get flea powder, put some in your vacuum cleaner bag and vacuum your house and furniture and also non-carpeted areas frequently to remove flea larvae and eggs which live off house dust., Dispose of the bag in the trash outside. Hot-wash all the pet's bedding, If you do this diligently for a few months you will get rid of the fleas. Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! I would ask your Veterinarian for an oral sedative for you to give 2 hours before travel. I would use the Feliway spray in his carriage. Once you arrive at your new home, he should be kept in a room by himself away from the other animals for a week then use a baby gate at the door for the him to see and greet the other cat and dog. Do that for a week, then remove the gate. be sure he has access to this room to run away if he needs to. This room can be your bedroom. Use the Feliway diffuser in this room.
