I have a 7 month old amstaff mix who loves to chew. I'm at a loss as to what to give her. I've been told antlers and nylon bones will break or wear away teeth. However, she destroys chew toys that are pliable/able to be indented with a finger nail in
You are correct that antlers and nylon bones will break teeth, but they can also cause obstructions and/or perforations in the GI tract. I recommend a Kong toy. Those are very tough chew toys that are hard to dogs to destroy. You can also fill them with treats. I'd recommend, as an occasional treat, filling it with peanut butter and freezing it overnight in the freezer. That will keep her occupied for a while.

Looking for a good chew toy for Jasper,we were giving him the purina dental chewz but now it seems like he is eating them to fast,tried a few different ones but don't seem to last,any suggestions?
To keep dogs entertained for a longer period of time, I like to feed dehydrated chews. My largest dogs prefers bully sticks (https://www.bestbullysticks.com/4-inch-odor-free-bully-sticks) and my smaller dog loves dehydrated fish skins (https://www.thehonestkitchen.com/beams). They also like dehydrated sweet potato chews like Sam's Yams, but I might do something smaller for Jasper like their Bichon Fries (https://www.frontporchpets.com/sam-s-yams-bichon-fries-new-larger-size-12-5-oz.html). There are a large number of dehydrated chews on the market now, so you might ask at your local pet store to see if they have any suggestions for you. Please let me know if that was helpful. My favorite is the Virbac veggie chews. They contain no meat products. Instead a good dental cleaning and extraction of any diseased teeth should be discussed with your veterinarian before using chews.
