Because fleas are so problematic, flea prevention is essential! Commonly prescribed preventives include oral and topical medications—although injectable flea prevention is available, as well.

Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! Yes dewormers can be purchased online. I’d deworm every 6 months if the cats go outside. See the link below on the kind I like. I recommend the FVRCP vaccine as well as the rabies. If Kitty never received this vaccine then he needs two 3-4 weeks apart. The 2nd is good for 1 year the all subsequent are good for 3 years. Have a good day! https://m.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=3464 https://m.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=1268

I recommend cleaning the scab and using an antibacterial ointment on it. It should heal in a few days to a week. For the ears, dark discharge can be ear wax, mites or a yeast or bacterial infection. PetCo does sell natural ear products. Please talk with an assistant in the store to purchase the best one. If after using it her ears don't improve then you should take Cha Cha to the veterinarian for an exam and treatment. Thanks for using Boop by Petco to help you care for Cha Cha.

Thanks for using Boop by Petco! I recommend daily teeth brushing with dog toothpaste daily. Groomers only brush a dogs teeth when they are groomed- likely every 6-8 weeks. That would be like us brushing our teeth once every 6-8 weeks. It’s not a bad idea but it’s not going to do a whole lot in the long run. I also recommend a professional teeth cleaning by a veterinarian every year- to remove plaque, polish after (very important after plaque removal), and to check for problems/bad teeth before they cause other problems. Rawhides are not bad but they will not take the place of daily dental care. Also, they can cause intestinal upset so I do not recommend them frequently. They also have a lot of calories so you have to make sure Scooby doesn’t gain weight when feeding them. Kisses to Scooby!
