I recommend the FVRCP vaccine as well as the rabies. If Kitty never received this vaccine then he needs two 3-4 weeks apart. The 2nd is good for 1 year the all subsequent are good for 3 years. Found a scab (dry, white with reddish center, raised) on my cat's back, which is about 1/2 inches. Her coat was moist and mat (stuck) probably due to fluid. I cut that area fur short. I was advised to give her Omega oil, ointment. Anything else I sho
I recommend cleaning the scab and using an antibacterial ointment on it. It should heal in a few days to a week. For the ears, dark discharge can be ear wax, mites or a yeast or bacterial infection. PetCo does sell natural ear products. Please talk with an assistant in the store to purchase the best one. Hi awesome Boop by Petco folks! My beautiful 2yr old snowshoe cat has had an irritated eye (red lining & discharge) for past few days. I've been cleaning & applying Terramyin ointment. What do u recommend? Thank u!!!
Thanks for using Boop by Petco! I recommend daily teeth brushing with dog toothpaste daily. Groomers only brush a dogs teeth when they are groomed- likely every 6-8 weeks. That would be like us brushing our teeth once every 6-8 weeks. It’s not a bad idea but it’s not going to do a whole lot in the long run. I also recommend a professional teeth cleaning by a veterinarian every year- to remove plaque, polish after (very important after plaque removal), and to check for problems/bad teeth before they cause other problems. Rawhides are not bad but they will not take the place of daily dental care. Also, they can cause intestinal upset so I do not recommend them frequently. They also have a lot of calories so you have to make sure Scooby doesn’t gain weight when feeding them. Kisses to Scooby!
