Thanks for using Boop by Petco! First of all, thanks for what you are doing, that is very nice of you. I think it would be best if they are introduced slowly to the puppy meaning for short amounts of time to be increased daily until they are getting along well consistently. They should be supervised at the beginning when interacting with your cats or puppy. I think it would be a good idea to have toys and beds for both to make them feel more at home. Good luck!

No worries. I appreciate you posting back with your correction. I just wish your pet well and I am glad that the advice was helpful to you. Take care of that fur baby and have a good rest of your night. Best regards, Destini Holloway, DVM

Thank you for contacting Boop by Petco with your question. You aren't insane at all! Especially since you have experience with animals. Just introduce them slowly and it should be fine. I have an old Chow Chow (age 12) and three cats. She pretty much ignores the cats, but does share her dog bed with them and sleeps next to them. It should be ok! I hope this helps!

I would recommend contacting local humane society groups to see if there is assistance for veterinary care in your area. Here are some other options. You might be able to qualify for care credit if needed http://m.humanesociety.org/animals/resources/tips/trouble_affording_veterinary_care.html Or occasionally the service dog organization that trained her may be able to help. Thank you for using Boop by Petco.

Hi there! Woops! That happens sometimes. By best advice and best solution to the problem is to have Merci spayed. Spaying her will solve this issue as well as prevent it from happening in the future. If you wish to keep Merci intact, then there is estrogen treatment available, but is associated with a variety of risks including increased risk of uterine infection. It is also not very effective as shown from previous research. Spaying her may be the way to go here. I hope this helps and thanks for using Boop by Petco!
