Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! Poor Lucy! Shampoos and manually picking them off only help with the fleas ON Lucy. New ones that are hatching from carpets, etc just jump right back on her. The only flea collar that I think works is the Seresto collar. Be sure it is tight enough on her neck and do not remove it. I think that the oral flea and tick preventative also work great. Nexgard and Simparica are oral and last 1 month and Bravecto is an oral pill that lasts 3 months. They all kill the fleas on the dog with in 6 hours and kill others that jump on after. The flea life cycle is 21 days. It takes 3-6 weeks to get rid of an infestation. I wish you and Lucy the best!

How lucky of you to visit Germany recently! I would check to see if it's possible to ship the ones you like from Germany to Bosnia & Herzegovina. I'm not very familiar with the inventory of dog harnesses in your country, and given that many things can easily be shipped, it might be the best idea to have the cute and comfortable ones you say in Germany shipped to your home :-)

Hello. Chewing at this age is very normal & is a sign of teething behavior. Puppies also learn in this manner, too. It is your job to provide Lucy with appropriate chewing substrates & gently guide her to avoid those which may be harmful ( electric cords, house plants, items that are small enough to be swallowed ). Make sure shoes, eyeglasses, watches, tv remotes, jewelry are picked up or not left on low tables ( can you guess what I have lost in the past !). Kong toys are tough products made for dogs & puppies that can be packed with tasty treats such as kibble & peanut butter. This should keep Lucy busy for hours. Have patience, she will eventually outgrow this behavior. Thanks for using Boop by Petco.

Thanks for using Boop by Petco! You are likely describing teething which is basically a normal type of behavior when puppies are growing up and it is secondary to mouth discomfort as teeth are growing. I recommend that you get Lucy teething type toys which you can get at your local pet store or online. Anytime that he tries to nibble at you, you say no and give him the toy. This is likely going to resolve the issue. Puppies do tend to sleep for long periods of time and that is normal and expected so as long as she is not showing any other signs of being sick like vomiting or anorexia, it is ok to continue to monitor that. Good luck and have a great day!

Hello and welcome to Boop by Petco. Congratulations on your new little girl! Any pet-store will have diaper products for female dogs in heat, so you can go by and get some. Usually small breed dogs, especially on their first heat don't need any diapers and won't spot too much, and usually will clean themselves up. I recommend that you wait about 1-2 months and then have Lulu spayed before her next heat cycle. Spaying prevents the common and severe condition of pyometra, and also prevents unwanted pregnancies (shih-tzus often have trouble with birth and often require a c-section and get eclampsia, so you should not breed her especially if she is your first dog), and decreases her risks of being hit by a car (less roaming) and also decreases the risks of many cancers. You can chat with your vet about the best timing for this. Best of luck with Lulu! I hope you have fun with her!
