Yes! Check out basepaws.com for a genetic test you can buy to use with your cat. You just apply a bit of tape (supplied in the kit) to your cat's fur, submit the entire piece as a sample, and you get results in a few weeks.

Adopting a new dog is so much fun! Whenever bringing a new dog into the home, it should be done slowly with the existing animals already there to make the transition smoothly. The new dog should be kept separated from the other animals when home alone to avoid any problems, and their interactions should be monitored when you are home so you can separate them at any problem. I'm not sure if you have any additional animals in the home, but if you have cats for example, it's normal they will hiss at the dog. Do not allow them to swipe at the dog, separating them right away if you notice the cat getting upset. Also do not allow the dog to chase the cats. If you don't have any other animals in your home, then just be patient with the dog as it acclimates to his new house. Moving into a new home can be stressful, and some dogs may not eat or drink at first. This will pass in time. Shelter dogs should be taken care of just like any other dog: Fed twice a day, make sure they are up t

Great question! From what I can see, there's really not much difference between the Zoom Groom for dogs and cats. The cat one is a little more flexible to give your cat a massage when you groom them, which cats love. Supposedly the gentle massage action calms stressed or anxious cats. I don't think it would hurt at all to use the dog one on Luna, but if you want the massage action for her, then I would return it and get her the cat one. You can also try the dog one on her and if she hates, then get the cat one. I hope this helps, and thanks for contacting Pet Coach!

I would suggest to vaccinate with both of them when you are back or earlier (either on 22nd or 26th). Generally speaking it is fine to vaccinate with both the same day. No side effects with early vaccination.

Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! The puppy looks like a Labrador Retriever. You can take the puppy to the vet now to be dewormed and a physical done. Bring a stool sample. We start vaccines at 6 weeks with the DHPP vaccine (distemper, hepatitis, parainfluenza and parvovirus). We give that vaccine every 3 weeks until 14-16 weeks. The Rabies vaccine is given based on your countries laws. In the US that is between 12-16 weeks. I recommend feeding a commercial puppy food like Purina puppy chow. Dry food is fine. Use the bag as a guideline then increase or decrease the amount based on how the puppy grows. Dogs are fine being solo pets. Congratulations on your puppy!
