Customers under the age of 18 cannot purchase live Companion Animals or Aquatic Life without a parent or guardian present. (Excluding crickets and worms). Due to the demands of time and intricate care required with certain species, it is in the best interest of the animals to not sell to minors. Parental permission at time of sale will ensure a better home for the animal and lower our rate of return.

Thanks for reaching out about Zeplyn and including photos. The understanding is Petco will buy back with you being able to re-purchase. Check with them. Anorexia is often causes by intestinal parasites or infections, so a veterinary visit is recommended to assess and a diagnostic/treatment plan. Check and correct husbandry including temperature and gradient, UVB exposure, and diet. Good luck.

Hello! Tokay geckos are not very social pets. Regardless of handling and training over time, some species are still very difficult to tame and are more "look but don't touch" pets. Most Tokay geckos would fall into this category. Some people enjoy having pets like this, and some do not. I am only saying this as it sounds like you may be a bit discouraged by his lack of social behavior, but it likely has nothing to do with your handling skills and everything to do with his biology. Petco works to adopt out surrendered pets frequently and would be happy to help rehome your gecko. I would recommend calling your local store to discuss the situation and a staff member should be able to help guide you through the process. I hope you find this helpful! Thanks for using Boop by Petco.

It is difficult to say for sure what type of dragon you may have. If this is a baby then it very well could just be a bearded dragon. Rankin dragons are usually smaller when they are fully grown that a bearded dragon. I would buy an enclosure big enough for a bearded dragon to be safe. Also, I would feed and treat it as if it is a bearded dragon. It is going to be less likely that you got a Rankin dragon from a local pet store. From my understanding, you have to seek out a Rankin dragon breeder to be sure you are getting this type of dragon. I hope this helps!
